Cricket:India's tour of England 2011

The way we're batting. Get dravid out and even a lead of 150 will be winnable.

We've bottled it honestly. Credit to Broad but some terrible, terrible batting.

Asad Rauf is an outstanding umpire.

They need to give someone else those gloves. Worst wicket keeper ever.

Trott not gonna bat in this innings.

Trott's going to be assessed in the morning, may be a very slight chance he could bat.

Strange they just said on Indian Commentary that the word from English Locker Room is that Trott won't play. Let's see then.

England's match to lose.

I actually think that we're in the ascendency here. We had a 67 run lead at the start of England's 2nd innings and there are 3 days left still, if England make 250-300 then we are surely favourites considering our batsmen will know exactly what score we need.

Saying that, we obviously should have made a much better fist of our batting at the end.

I admire your optimism mate, but considering how we've batted so far. I feel we would just fold in the pressure of chasing 250plus score here.

Jacques Kallis has 40 test hundreds?

Most underrated batsman ever? He's done it "under the radar" as it were.

Sunny day expected tomorrow. On a cloudy day at TB, I can't see us scoring 250+. I can actually see England piling on a fair bit more. We haven't hit 300+ once this series. Dravid's not going to bail us out every time. The truth is, we have only 6 batsmen and 3 of them are suspect. Our tail can bat decently, but only in sub-continental conditions.

I would love to be proven wrong, but I have a bad feeling about this.

Haha thanks and I share your concerns, but I honestly believe that if we are able to get to the point where we'll need 200-250 to win with time in hand and then we can certainly win it from that point. We'll need one player to dig his heels in (about time for Tendulkar to rise in this series) and others to support him. Whether that will happen is another thing entirely, England have a very strong seam attack who are full of confidence too but I believe our batsmen will rise to the challenge if our bowlers give them a total to work with.

If we bowl them out for less than 300, going to be a cracking finish.

On a side note, I enjoy watching Ian Bell bat. Brilliant player.

Call this blind optimism, but I fancy Dhoni to score some crucial runs in the second innings.

Is he the worst wicketkeeper in the world?
Is he the worst wicketkeeper-bat in the world?

I think the answer to both is yes.

First one is arguable, second one is harsh.

Australia - Haddin
England - Prior
Saffers - Boucher
Pakistan - not counted as they'll have a bet on it
Windies - Baugh
NZ - Mccullum(doesnt keep anymore, but will go back to it surely, not consistent enough with the bat)
SL - Prasanna Jayawardene

As a keeper, he's comfortably worse than all of them. You can probably include Mushfiqur Rahim in that competition.

As a batsman, I haven't seen enough of Baugh, he's probably better than him. I would have him better than Jayawardene, but he's suddenly started scoring a few runs. Where would you disagree? Honest question.

As a keeper, ok I agree he's worst then all of them. But as a batsmen, he is better than Jayawardene, Baugh and Boucher. Also better than whoever Pakistan's wicketkeeper and Hopkins of New Zealand.

I agree that he's in the test team for his captaincy, but alternative do we have?

As much as I love Sachin, Kallis is the greatest cricketer playing right now.

Agree with this. Kallis is very underrated.

PS: Stat time. No has faced more balls than Dravid and no one has more minutes on the pitch than him in Test Cricket :)

I think if England get a lead of 250-260 then it's a coin toss as to who wins. A lead of 300+ and I back England.
