Cop in America doing a bad job, again

Following that thread...

Just a few bad ‘uns, right? A dozen of guns trained on an unarmed man on the ground, seems about right.

Showing only blacks been killed or arrested by police? About the other races? Media is really a very dangerous tool in the 21 century.
2019 so far:

From Washington Post

394 people killed by police
84 Whites (no Hispanics)
49 Blacks
44 Hispanics
8 Other (Asians, etc)
209 Unknown (but for the names mostly are Hispanics or whites)

From Fox news

44 Police officers killed in the line of duty
That's the reason so many people gets killed by police, too many officers killed so they over-react and in some cases criminally when they engage someone.

The Guardian had a catalogue of US police killings in 2017. I don't know if they added them up by race, but I had looked at the lists (which included photos) and they looked about 50-50 white and non-white.

Mate, if you've got the info and vids then just post them, this thread is for all police injustices.

Also just to add, you can't tell shit about skin colour from a name alone, you might be able to to infer the religion or cultural background of said person but not the level of melanin.

Different camera footage of the incident from @Eboue post above, and a conversation between the two involved af the end.

That's not really better, that's mostly the same. The only difference is that we now get to hear the guy who got punched saying "or what?!" repeatedly. What did people think he was doing there? Discussing Game of Thrones? He was clearly mouthing off, and while that might justify trying to control the situation, it doesn't justify punching him after pushing him away, and without him making any aggressive moves in response (except saying "don't touch me, man").

The last thing that move was going to do was calm the situation down.

I never said it was better or worse, I was just adding an updated video with the rest of the footage currently available.

The bodycam footage doesnt make it any better. I'm confused how you think it does.
The situation was managed poorly, but you really think it was just by coincidence that the start of that video was cut? Officers are responding to reports of shots fired and the dude runs across the street, fists clenched, and starts barking in the coppers face, completely unprovoked. Who the feck does that in a situation so evidently tense? The copper reacted spectacularly bad and I hope he gets reprimanded for it. Still, the video was made to look as though the copper just fancied a swing on a poor innocent man.

Was it cut or did the bystander just start filming then? Either way it doesnt matter because that's not the point I'm making. The police used unnecessary aggression and poor situation handling in the first video and the videos skizzo posted dont in any way change that fact.

You might be able to tell his Hispanics from blacks by their name, but you definitely can't look at a name and say "that person is white, not black".
Black Hispanics are also a thing, and you generally can't tell them apart from white Hispanics based on name.

Just keep clocking in every day surrounded by violent racists.

20% wouldn’t really cause me to be surrounded.

Plus considering my shift consists of 10 people - Myself, a white female, two Filipinos, three Hispanics males, an African American, an Asian and one other white guy - I’m not sure what part of your invalid claims about my department to be wary of.

I don’t need to clock in currently anyway as I’m on paternity leave, but I appreciate your concern for my well being :)

He didn't say it did, but it didn't stop your usual, passive aggressive bullshit. You and I both know it was cut, but let's pretend it wasn't, hey?

Is it fair to say that its not just the cops in US but in most countries they are "above the law"?. I mean there have been many instances of corruption and framing in other countries as well right?

I dont know if it was cut. Maybe the person only started filming when they realized this was become a big deal. But again i dont care and even if it had been, it would change the clear fact of yet another case of police brutality. Weird for you to become so focused on whether or not it was cut when you also has nothing to say over the investigation that revealed 20% of police officers to be violent racists.

Why would I? Care to make clear what you are implying?

Yeah I do sometimes. I find it really shitty that they don't blur out the faces of people that say don't film me. I thought that was illegal

Typically not if it’s filmed in public, as there’s no right to privacy. Although an attorney may be better placed to answer that in terms of each specific scenario.

I actually saw them blur a face this past Friday.

They busted some preppy white chick who ended up having a mobile drug lab in the trunk of her car. I guess they feared for her life because she just lost someone ALOT of money.

Previous posts about coppers:
Etc.

The hypocrisy of you accusing me of agenda posting is just tragic.

You should know by now, any post where you condemn LE or agree with Eboue is ignored. Any post you make that isn’t outright calling every officer racist or worse means you’re also scum. Logic.

I'm amazed it's taking you and Choi as long as it has to lose patience with him. He's incapable of having any reasonable discussion.
