Cop in America doing a bad job, again

He thought the guy he'd just arrested was shooting at him from inside the police car. Saying it out loud doesn't make it any better.

 FFS. He obviously never completed his pistol qualification if he thought an acorn landing on his squad car was a gunshot from inside the vehicle.

Imagine spending one day in jail for that never mind 60. Decking cnuts.

Would have been very difficult for me to not unload on that judge as the person being sentenced, or if I were an attorney. Yeah, you're gonna get more days tacked for daring to question an asshole judge. That's absolute horseshit for a judge to pull that reasoning, probably in some rural/small-town area where the judge is juiced in tight with local LEO, leadership, and city council and hold unrestrained absolute power. Mr. Bond should have went straight to the NAACP for that bullshit, bring the heat down. And should anything nefarious happen during my county stint - and some county jails do have some sociopathic scumbags in the cells willing to harm others-, ol' judge gonna get his one day. Pisses me off hearing about that particular guy's ordeal, and the others as well.

The question is towards what/who was shooting? because you need to be certain that you are shooting to a shooter

He should be charged with a list of felonies. He endangered the public, attempted murder of a detained suspect still in cuffs, shooting within vicinity of his partner (who appears to be to the front left of the vehicle targeted), probably a few more acts in there.

The whole thing is completely batshit and yes he should be charged with multiple crimes.

We all regularly complain about or laugh at TV shows or movies for not being true to life and then you watch something like this. It's unbelievable.

Investigation launched into tape of Seattle police guild leaders downplaying death of woman struck by officer

A Seattle police watchdog agency is investigating rank-and-file union leaders over body-camera audio in which they laugh, joke about and downplay the death of a young woman struck by a police cruiser, suggesting her life had “limited value” and that the city should “just write a check.”
And obviously this happens

I'd hate to live in America.

Good lord. Why do they even bother sending the police anymore? Surely they might as well just order a drone strike if that is how they are going to respond at the first sign of anything, let alone a perp.

Don't see how anyone would want to be a cop in America. This could be in the Hypernormalisatio thread as well...

Video shows California police fatally shooting teenager who was reported kidnapped
Revealed: Savannah Graziano, 15, shot by sheriff’s deputies in 2022 while unarmed and following instructions to move toward them

...

Sheriff’s officials claimed following the shooting that it was unclear whether Savannah was shot by deputies or her father, and they said deputies didn’t realize it was her when she got out of the car. For nearly two years, they refused to release footage of the shooting.

...

When the car stopped near deputies, the footage shows, Savannah exited the vehicle, and a CHP official on the radio can be heard stating : “Girl is out, the girl is out, guys. She’s out on the passenger side.”

The video shows she crouches on the ground for about 10 seconds, and then walks toward a group of about seven deputies, followed by a boom that appears to be at least one deputy shooting her, though the department blurred out Savannah at this moment. The CHP dispatcher can be heard saying: “Oh no”.

Just in case you didn't know, police training is often done by the Mossad. There are also 69 cop cities scheduled to be built across the United State.

Came here to post this - this is terrible

SMFH...

With stuff like this, it's no wonder why people still carry guns around and it's also another reason why ordinary cops should never be allowed to carry guns on patrol if you want mentalities to change about guns. And if cops can't accept that, if that's beyond their oath to protect and to serve, they can feel free to leave the service and go back to flipping burgers like the losers they are.

What am i missing here? Too many shots fired?

Is it mandatory for cops to shoot to kill every single time? Furthermore, firing 91 rounds in 41 seconds is rather disproportionate and they always do that to a black man.
Is colour of the skin important in this exact case? What they should to do in this particular case (lets put other shit which they do aside)? Guy fired first on bloody police. They should fire back one shot and again negotiate?
They asked him multiple times to go out from his car, he decided to shoot first and from close range he wounded police officer.

Yeah, police does crazy shit but in this case....nah.

plainclothes cops walking to the car with guns already pulled out. i have no idea why he's supposed to assume they're cops and it's not a carjacking.

One of the videos shows an officer in a ballistic vest arrive before the shooting starts.

That said, 91 rounds in 41 seconds is a lot of overkill.
