I couldn't disagree with this more. In the past yes but over the past few years his mistakes have been much less frequent and he has saved us a ton of points on his own. He is one of the best keepers in the world.
Totally agree on your point about Kane taking free kicks. He is shite at them.
As for your other point, Kane clearly wants to play for Conte and he has slowly been getting back to his best this season. Now whether he will want to stay if we don't get champions League next season is up for debate and honestly I've no idea if he will.
He's definitely been better under Conte but I think he was always going to start scoring again because that's what he's good at. I don't think having Conte as manager suddenly makes Tottenham more appealling than Man City, so I'd still be willing to bet it'll be the same hassle again in the summer.
The problem with Kane for me is that the whole team has to be focused around him. Every attack has to go through and/or end with him. Which is fine but he's not a Ronaldo or Messi in their prime who can drag an underperforming team to a league title or Champions League final, and he's also not surrounded by world class players or backed up by other extremely good attacking players like those two often were. So he almost becomes too much of a focal point.
Much as Conte loves to have a moan I do think he is right. You just need better players and to make the team less reliant on Kane...firstly because I still reckon he fecks off the first chance he gets and there'll probably be another tantrum if it doesn't happen in the summer, but secondly because even if he stays the team would suddenly look very different if there was more than just Son to back him up with the attacking play. Then he could have a shite couple of months (as most players do most seasons) and it would barely even matter.
I almost think we've fallen into a similar trap with Ronaldo to be honest. He's too past his best to drag a team up a level, but still good enough to get 30+ goals in a very good team...the problem being he's been stuck in an above average team that's now trying to funnel everything through him and actually scoring less goals as a result. He hits a poor run of form and suddenly United can't win a game and struggle to score more than 1 goal.

It's all well and fine saying he said what he feels, and the fans agree with what he's saying etc, but at the end of the day, negativity like that is generally frowned upon by the ownership. They are a business as well as a football club after all, and telling everyone that players aren't good enough, that it's not how he would choose to make them competitive, is bad for business, and likely bad for the actual football team as well.
And its all well saying the fans will back Conte over Levy, but there's not a manager took on Levy and won, and he'll probably think he can take on the supporters and win as well such is his ego.

He's different from current Mourinho but there's no doubt Conte resembles a younger Mourinho back when he was in his prime. Prime Mourinho was definitely the better manager though.

The media is reporting what is there. Conte is being Conte, he is about as an open book as you will find. Nobody doubted that, what was doubted is how long would Levy be able to let Conte speak his mind before it got to him or it was damaging player sales. Levy has a history of doing things based on how he thinks people are viewing him, not always in the best interest of the team. He does have the appearance of a thinned skin owner. I don't think anything Conte said was wrong, when he says these players are not good enough, it definitely can effect their market value. It would be in Levy's best interest to have these type of statements to stop so they can get as much money as possible. When Lampard was saying that Chelsea players lacked the proper mentality to be a winning team right now, he had a falling out with Marina and we all know how that ended.
It's not about what he said, it's about how it's been reported. Just listen to what Conte himself has said about it. He is literally calling out the media on their bullshit.

Not at all when you have one decent runner (Son) and one world class striker (Kane) for parking the bus. Not like us under Ole, we hadn't that type of player.

Will have learnt nothing from this. They played like this under Mourinho as well and robbed their fair share of results. Kane is absolutely brilliant at his day, but we all knew that. If he wants to win something he can't rely on this style of play, Mourinho tried. And outside of Kane, Son to a degree(game raiser that mostly excels at counters) and maybe that Romero fella their players really aren't good enough.

City may have stats dominance, but Tottenham has played this game very well and forced City into their version of percentage football: crossing to far post and hope.
And the chances Tottenham created is not random flukey. Cancelo position was targeted all game. Because he would push up and join the attack, which leave a gap in that position. Laporte moves out to cover then would shuffle City back line, when a cross, switch play come in. Kane and Son movement would cause issue, and they really did. Tottenham didn't only score from their only chances, but they also threatened with every attack.
Play the same game again and again, and the game would go exactly like this. Pep has no answer to Conte's tactic today.

They’ve played that exact same game numerous times over the years against city and won under both Jose and Nuno. That’s the blueprint for how to beat City.
Conte is a reactive coach like Mourinho BUT the big difference is that Conte wants to win games while the late Mourinho and coaches of this mould like Benitez etc dont want to lose. This is a big plus for Conte because in this way this type of football can be effective.
City won the xG in both league games this season, 2.32 to 2 today and 2 to 1 in the away game. They've just been unlucky or maybe have psychological issue with Spurs after that CL semi few years ago.
