He seems quite angry in his interview. Seems like he has been mislead. But he should have known when he signed for Spurs
What is he supposed to say? The squad is excellent and everything is great? It is as plain as day that the standard of our squad is very low and we are miles off being a top 4 side.
I couldn't disagree with this more. In the past yes but over the past few years his mistakes have been much less frequent and he has saved us a ton of points on his own. He is one of the best keepers in the world.This made me laugh, serious Glaston-vibes. Lloris is prone to errors and that is why he has never been at a top club, he just doesn’t have the extra magic or consistency in him. Also prone to clangers in important games, which makes it even more serious of a problem. All PL keepers are great shot stoppers, Lloris certainly isn’t high above anyone else if at all and would be easily replaced.
They're still building their team around someone who has given an in depth interview on television about how he doesn't want to play for them, and then literally tried to refuse to play for them.
Until that's resolved I don't really get what Conte can do other than try to make the best of a fecked up situation. He can't drop Kane because there's no one else and the team isn't good enough to do without, and he can't build a team around someone who underperforms and doesn't want to be there either. He'll probably walk if he doesn't get what he wants from Levy in the summer, although maybe that's the sort of pressure Tottenham need to kick them into sorting things out.
One thing that infuriates me watching Spurs is how Kane still gets to take every freekick vaguely in shooting range. He must have the worst freekick conversion rate of any footballer to have taken more than about 3 in their career. His ego can't be that fragile that you can't just tell him he's shite at it.
Totally agree on your point about Kane taking free kicks. He is shite at them.
As for your other point, Kane clearly wants to play for Conte and he has slowly been getting back to his best this season. Now whether he will want to stay if we don't get champions League next season is up for debate and honestly I've no idea if he will.
Trouble in paradise?
Matt Law is a clown. I wouldn't put any credence into anything that guy says.I think this is what people were trying to tell @balaks and that on here.
It's all well and fine saying he said what he feels, and the fans agree with what he's saying etc, but at the end of the day, negativity like that is generally frowned upon by the ownership. They are a business as well as a football club after all, and telling everyone that players aren't good enough, that it's not how he would choose to make them competitive, is bad for business, and likely bad for the actual football team as well.
And its all well saying the fans will back Conte over Levy, but there's not a manager took on Levy and won, and he'll probably think he can take on the supporters and win as well such is his ego.
Ok fine, but their ideas on football are completely different.
No it's not. Mountain out of a molehillThis doesn’t sound nearly as controversial as it was made out to be.

He appeared to be pissed off as well which says a lot about how he views how his quotes where taken out of context and that the media have a narrative against the club.Pick what ever source you want? The Athletic? It is not like it is a secret and Conte said in his press conference that he will not be doing anymore interviews in Italian so it will not be mistranslated. He has also said he is surprised by the reaction.

It's not about what he said, it's about how it's been reported. Just listen to what Conte himself has said about it. He is literally calling out the media on their bullshit.The media is reporting what is there. Conte is being Conte, he is about as an open book as you will find. Nobody doubted that, what was doubted is how long would Levy be able to let Conte speak his mind before it got to him or it was damaging player sales. Levy has a history of doing things based on how he thinks people are viewing him, not always in the best interest of the team. He does have the appearance of a thinned skin owner. I don't think anything Conte said was wrong, when he says these players are not good enough, it definitely can effect their market value. It would be in Levy's best interest to have these type of statements to stop so they can get as much money as possible. When Lampard was saying that Chelsea players lacked the proper mentality to be a winning team right now, he had a falling out with Marina and we all know how that ended.
They are like United under Ole!
Not at all when you have one decent runner (Son) and one world class striker (Kane) for parking the bus. Not like us under Ole, we hadn't that type of player.
I meant their results. United beat City a few times and other top sides. We’d also lose to Wolves and what not too

Can't wait to hear the Conte genius narrative, but when Ole was getting better wins against city, was a fluke.
Carragher completely wetting himself tonight
There is no way in hell Bentancur is equal to Moussa Dembele. Let alone Regullion being better than prime Danny Rose. Those are lies right there.....Not sure why you put out those meaningless stats as most fan even the delusional one would say that a champion league final, their league best finish and highest point tally, and consecutive season in champion league in much better than the ones you mentioned. That is why those managers you listed are no where to be seen.
Conte has a much better squad than his predecessor. Definitely has much better depth. The starting eleven Conte is a bit more stronger, but Conte has better talent to choose from the bench which with his predecessor, if one of their talent got injured, they had the likes of llorente, Edward's, winks, skipp, and other very average selection to choose from.
Lloris = lloris
Tripper > royal
Verthogen > Sanchez
Alderweireld = Romero
Rose < regullion
Sissoko < hodjberg
Dembele = bentacur
Son = son
Lucas = Lucas
Lamela < begwein
Kane = kane
Conte parked the bus and seemingly they scored with every opportunity they had.
Spurs could play that game another 9 times and they'd lose everytime.
Not really.Conte parked the bus and seemingly they scored with every opportunity they had.

They’ve played that exact same game numerous times over the years against city and won under both Jose and Nuno. That’s the blueprint for how to beat City.Conte parked the bus and seemingly they scored with every opportunity they had.

Conte is a reactive coach like Mourinho BUT the big difference is that Conte wants to win games while the late Mourinho and coaches of this mould like Benitez etc dont want to lose. This is a big plus for Conte because in this way this type of football can be effective.Will have learnt nothing from this. They played like this under Mourinho as well and robbed their fair share of results. Kane is absolutely brilliant at his day, but we all knew that. If he wants to win something he can't rely on this style of play, Mourinho tried. And outside of Kane, Son to a degree(game raiser that mostly excels at counters) and maybe that Romero fella their players really aren't good enough.
If the club gives him money and he gives them his time they will be decent, that is a given. At the end of the day, important 3-points for them
