Conte | Spurs Manager

To put Vitesse in context, 538 has them ranked between West Brom and Sheffield United in terms of the two closest English sides.

Just conceded a set piece goal, but Spurs have been far more attacking than our usual football under OGS. Keeping possession, looking solid, and pressing high.

Not the United way ofcourse.

Fast fluid football the announcer just said about the Spurs. When was the last time that was said? Kane is hustling out there too.

Too bad Conte is not a yes man . He would coach circles around Ole

In fairness, Conte is extremely unlikely to replicate the manager bounce we got out of Ole. Lets see if Kane can start scoring goals again

That'll be an interesting narrative.

Do you think that Conte would be enough for Kane to reverse his decision to leave Spurs in the long run? Quite possibly and probably the only guy presently who could.

I guess we'll moan on here about not getting Conte now every time Tottenham win a game for next few months at least.

What’s Ole got to do with any of this?

Will Conte stick around for long? I'm wondering who wanted only an 18 month contract? Spurs or Conte?

Tbf to Conte, he rarely takes over a team midseason, he prefers to have a full preseason with his team to get his ideas and concepts across.

Apparently coming back to England was a big draw. His daughter Victoria wanted to come back to london as did his family and they wanted her to continue her education in the UK.

Footballing wise the draw was obviously the amount of money to available to spend in PL compared to rest of Europe bar PSG.

It will take a while but I think Spurs will be ok.

He is gonna have a real job on his hands to fix this mess at the back.

Tottenham players are gassed after running like madmen for the first 20 minutes.

First bit of spending. A defender. I'll rephrase that. A defence.

What was that from Lucas Moura, virtually no danger at all and then he does that pass

Always been a massive Vitesse fan. Great club. Great players. Great people !

They have previously downed tools when asked to focus on defensive first football. How anybody thinks this will be any different is mind boggling to me. Conte need to get rid of 3/4 of that squad

Vitesse even have more shots on goal.

Is Kane as disinterested as he was last week?

I'm not watching the match but I read the first Viteese goal as a soft header not defended by Dier. Why am i not surprised?

Man Utd had the opportunity to sack Ole and hire Conte. There will always be comparisons between the two now that the board decided it was better to keep Ole.

Can’t bring myself to watching this competition, sorry
It’s a good game so far. Was just curious to see how Spurs will look and I just assisted to a very good 5 goal thriller of a first half.

It has been surprisingly entertaining football.
