Why are they saying Conor will come to the fight at 170?
Meh, that was a bit shit.
I think it'll be more like 175Why are they saying Conor will come to the fight at 170?
Nah he was showing a lot of false confidence imo. In his UFC weigh-ins he oozes with confidence but tonight he looked nervous and unsure to me.Conor always acts like this during weigh ins

Alvarez weighed something similar.I think it'll be more like 175
All of his screaming gifs that pollute the internet comes from his weigh ins. He's always screaming in his opponents faces, I honestly don't see a difference.I've never seen him that nervous.
That's 16 pounds.. the fight is tomorrow. How is that possible? Excuse my little knowledge, I'm a casual fan.Because he's done quite a big weight cut to hit 154. By the time the fight starts he should be back to near 170.
Probably water weight that be 8-10 poundsWhy are they saying Conor will come to the fight at 170?

I really don't see that at allI've never seen him that nervous.
A handicap he agreed to. This fight only happens under boxing rules. Don't feel bad for him, he'll never have to fight again.Match being broadcast on PPV here for about £50.
Like feck I'll pay that for something that will be a stroll for Mayweather. They should atleast have allowed some MMA moves like elbows etc. to even things up, as things stands McGregor fights with a huge handicap.
I've never seen him that nervous.
A totally noob question here, if the fighter's weigh can change so much from the weigh-in to the actual fight, what's the point ?

Another noob (and probably stupid) question, when regaining that weight, there isn't a risk of him another division ? Bear with me pleaseThe point is different divisions have different weight restrictions so there has to be a limit for each division. The only exception is heavyweight, which has more leeway.
Still don't believe it. My brother in law met and took a pic with Pacquaio and he's 5'5 at best. There wasn't that much of a difference between Floyd and Pacman.

Pac is 5'6. Floyd is 5'8.Still don't believe it. My brother in law met and took a pic with Pacquaio and he's 5'5 at best. There wasn't that much of a difference between Floyd and Pacman.
Hell I still remember his barefoot weigh-in v ODLH and he looked half a foot smaller!

It's a sad indictment of modern times. Have you been to a concert recently? It's a bunch of people holding up phones to capture what they should be experiencing right there. There was a time not too long ago when audiences would just sit back and watch this without feeling the need to reach for the smartphone.

He looked drained. He'll rehydrate and get up about 15-20 pounds, but clearly struggling to make weight. That's fine if his plan was to come in like this and make the most of his physical advantage, but he could be gassed. My complete armchair look st Conor today was that he looked a bit more cut than usual at that weight, he used to look awful when he was making 145 but he looked fine vs Alvarez...I think looking at him today it was a tough cut
That always seemed natural. This seemed forced. All of his screaming gifs that pollute the internet comes from his weigh ins. He's always screaming in his opponents faces, I honestly don't see a difference.
Definitely. Will be interesting to see how he is tomorrow, but I sense it won't go well for him (which would be a "good showing"). I don't see him getting knocked out, but he could easily be stopped. In my mind the fight will play out with McGregor getting frustrated chasing shadows as Floyd counters and lands every other punch. He's was definitely nervous.
I get the sense that he believed that all throughout the build up, but now I'm sensing the occasion is dawning on him. We'll see tomorrow.Again I don't want to be seen thinking Conor will win this. But I wholeheartedly believe he is supremely relaxed and confident and he really, really believes he can win this
Dana must hae been sickened leaving this circus for the Mighty Mouse fight announcement. Possibly the biggest contrast a promotor has ever experienced within 24 hours

I thought Floyd was smaller than that, I saw him in Caesars in Vegas and he looked frigging tiny.Pac is 5'6. Floyd is 5'8.
