Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather | Again?

I'm expecting a Mayweather dive in the 4th - setting up a rematch and another chance for them to cash in.

Given this isn't a 'real' fight and Floyd's retired I don't think he cares about anything but the money. If he loses, they will try for a trilogy - if he wins it's boring and what everyone expected.
Floyd to win easily

MMA rematch (so floyd can retain his undefeated boxing record... 50-0)

then for the trilogy - some hybrid rules st up by floyd and connor as they seek to set up their own fight format / league... probably with Dana as he looks be be getting squeezed a bit by the new UFC owners.

Pretty pants really but probably the most profitable route for all three of them.

Yh I can see this part happening.

I can't envisage Floyd in MMA because it'd be carnage - same as Mac in boxing. Mayweather will play with him in a boxing ring and Mac will KO/tap out Floyd in less than a minute in the octagon

There will never ever be an MMA or some kind of hybrid MMA/Boxing match between them. Literally zero chance.

Score settled at Wrestlemania 35. Streak v. Career match

It'll be one boxing match and Mayweather will win comfortably. He's not going to get in a UFC ring and get utterly humiliated when he's never been beaten in a fight before.

Big money coming on Conor in Vegas, Floyd being a degenerate gambler, who can´t pay his taxes at the moment. I wonder whether we´ll see a

The main takeaway I've got from the promotion so far is that MMA fans really seem to hate this Brendan Schaub fella.

Rightly so. He is clueless. Imagine a more low rent MMA version of Robbie Savage, then lower your expectations. Add a dollop of sycophancy and you're still not near Schaub.

When will we find out about the PPV arrangements in the U.K.? I know it's between Sky and ITV.
Praying for sky, then I get to watch free. But the fact that nobody in the sports team is working on any promos for it makes me think it might be ITV...

Seriously....Conor went after Floyd and wanted this so he could get paid and the world fell for the ruse....the fact that it's going to happen is a joke...no way Floyd would of entertained this thought if he didn't owe on his taxes. So all the mouth breathing morons who are already butt hurt about Conor losing and making comments about how things would be different in the octagon need to get a reality check.

Rumours are that Floyd wants UK customers to pay around £100 for the fight.

Eddie Hearn refutes that by saying Sky's price point will be around £20.

Four weeks left and broadcast rights still not settled...

Mayweather - Pacquiao was £24.99, which remains the most expensive Sky PPV boxing event to date. I imagine it'll be the same cost for this fight. UK fight fans won't pay much more than that, especially considering the ease at which people can stream events for free nowadays.

Floyd is seriously deluded if he thinks anyone would pay £100 for the fight when it can be easily streamed.

One of the biggest fights of all time and we still don't know who will be showing it. What a mess.

Floyd-Manny was £19.95

So itk information for you guys.

Sky have acquired the rights for Mayweather vs. McGregor.

They fought off competition from iTV and a last minute bid from BT Sport.

Y'all should be happy as Sky want to charge their normal PPV price whereas BT wanted to charge £80 for it.

I'm working on the promo!!!!

Sounds interesting work nice one mate.

Out of all of them I'm surprised ITV didn't go for it more. Whatever anyone says it will do big numbers and it could of been perfect for them to kick start the Box Office channel which has been struggling.

"This fight is a Hall of Fame MLB pitcher doing a public relations stunt by throwing to a star Little Leaguer. If he drills the kid, he looks like a monster; if he tosses him a soft underhand pitch, he looks like a condescending dick playing with a child."

Sums up my thoughts on the fight. Only way it goes past 4 rounds is if Floyd wants it to.

That's so well written and bang on the money.

He is at once both compactly efficient and ridiculously oafish—someone who boxing people would tell you was born to be knocked out were he to make the mistake of genuinely seeing himself as a prizefighter. He is graceful in a way, but also—again, by boxing standards—parceled out in his movements. They are too precise, too fussy, and too brittle when not engaged in fight-related activities. Even if his body is capable of doing things that great boxers’ bodies might not be able to, it doesn’t move with the ease that theirs do.
