This is even worse than i imagined, what an embarrassment to boxing.
I still like McGregor and find is stuff funny, maybe it's a bit childish but I dunno it's just a bit of light relief and I suppose it is a throwback to the days I used to watch WWF and found that entertaining. I just think people take these press conferences way to seriously over analysing them every time, they're just a bit of a laugh. I'm curious as to why people criticise them as well? We all knew it would be like this, Dana White himself said it will be a "shit show" so why are people surprised now? It was streamed on YouTube, if you don't want to watch it then don't watch it...similar to the fight I think plenty of people will slag it off but I reckon plenty of them will pay for the eventual fight.

You see I despise his press conferences for the same reason you enjoy them! I watched WWE when I was in primary school but find the whole thing deeply embarrassing now. The less that pantomime stuff creeps into genuinely competitive sports the better IMO.
To each his own, though. That's just a matter of taste. Did McGregor really say "dance for me, boy" to Mayweather though? That does seem to cross a line. Whatever you think of his antics.
Where's all the "Mayweather schooled him" eejits now?
Well, nobody cares what you think, though. Most people are in it for the fun, not for the actual fight itself. You're an extremely small minority. The fight will be such a let down and these conferences are just cringeworthy. I wont watch or pay money for that
McGregor is an embarrassment.
Agreed x2McGregor is the antithesis of classy. I wouldn't be one to stereotype, but a study of McGregor's fanbase is the closest I've seen to a hive mentality with McGregor their Queen Bee. They lap up everything he tosses their way and is never, ever wrong about anything. Ever.
Quite peculiar to say the least.

You could say the exact same thing about his naysayers & detractors.
Constantly harping on about him, only coming at it from the opposite angle.
He's this, he's that... not gonna watch his presser's, his fights yet they always have a comment to make about said presser's & fights. They're never wrong either.
That in a way could be said to be even more peculiar.
I'd really rather not see press conferences for this farcical bullshit. Unfortunately, Sky Sports news keep showing it because they are under some illusion that this nonsense is sport. You could say the exact same thing about his naysayers & detractors.

That's some bad ass trash talk right there!

If it had a dedicated channel I certainly wouldn't ever have it on. However, I watch Sky Sports News because I'm interested in hearing news about sport. It becomes a bit wearing to have to keep turning the tv off 3 or 4 times an hour simply to avoid having to see 2 nauseating, money-grabbing assholes playing out a pantomime for gullible idiots. When Sky Sports start showing Cricket, Horse racing, F1 or any other shit I don't like or have interest in I don't watch it.
Are you not able to do the same?

I suggest you need to go outside for a bit if your biggest gripe is having to turn SSN over a few times an hour.If it had a dedicated channel I certainly wouldn't ever have it on. True. I'm actually watching the press conferences avidly because I'm waiting for Stone Cold Steve Austin to come out and hit Mcgregor with a steel chair.I don't buy that excuse.

The publicity tour really is cringeworthy, like some knock-off WWE horseshit.
Agreed. They should've just stuck to the original format. This 4 day tour is a bit OTT. Having said that, I've tuned into every one so far
It's hard to call as I haven't seen how its been scripted yet. I've heard The Undertaker will be helping Mayweather but then again the producers are currently in negotiations with He-man and Conan the Barbarian to be on Mcgregor's team so it's really difficult to predict. What's your prediction for the fight @rocks13
You haven't knocked out anyone in 20 years, even your wife took you to a decision. As have most.
I'm just wondering if mcgregor is saving the wife beating stuff or if he's signed in his contract he won't mention it, it's literally all he needs to say to win the press conference fights.
"Why you fighting me Floyd, ain't you got some girls to beat up" or something to that effect and it's over.

You seem to be under some misapprehension that I'm a Mayweather fan. I'm simply one of a very large number of people who think that this is an overhyped piece of nonsense which is an embarrassment to the name of sport.Mayweather wins and it won't have been scripted though. McGregor will have been found out and is only the bollix etc etc you and the Bee's from the other Hive have been saying all along. ''Didn't I tell ye so....''
Is it any wonder he's rolling in it.
