Ok this answer may contain some things that i always dreamed off.
I always used to dream of being the first person who's able to successfully use controlled nuclear fusion(not fission) to generate almost unlimited electricity.
Ok i know this seem a bit weird but i'll explain what i always used to dream(very old dreams) off. Just for fun.
i am just a normal person who has got incredible IQ(not a scientists though).
I start research in nuclear physics.One day after heavy research i discovered an element which can withstand a nuclear fusion.Then i found a way to generate
infinite amount of electricity using nuclear fusion.
Remember i am not a recognized researcher i am just doing research outside on my own(i have my sources who supply me all these resources).
Now you guys would be think how could i find an element which can withstand a nuclear fusion while all the scientists working with the latest technology can't.
Well in the dream god comes and tell me how all this can be achieved.
He will tell me everything and will say "You are the nicest and most honest human being
they deserve to know about this invention from your mouth, enjoy your life now you deserve all the perks that are going to come at your steps"
After knowing all this. I will do a sample test to generate electricity via controlled nuclear fusion.
After successful trials, i will hack all important news channels in the world to cover me live at a certain time as i am going to make an announcement
which will change the world forever(Its just a dream).
After that I'll explain everything to the world via these channels and will even show videos of my sample tests(obviously won't tell how it is produced as that should be secret).
And then whole world will be free from the pollution created by the production of electricity via conventional methods.
Whole world will have electricity almost free of costs. I will be the most famous person alive.On magazines.
Will get lots of whore to bang.It would be just amazing.

So if that's your dream... what would you actually do, having been given the answer? This is important.
It's good that you did something practical, where loads of people would have been philosophical.
Thing is, if fusion power is possible - that's another thing I'd say it's very possible that it's not doable - it'll probably end up invented sooner or later, whereas this could be humanities only chance to find out the meaning of life.

...and just to be pedantic it's not the element 'withstanding' anything that's the issue in fusion.
Yeah, from his account you can tell that this was just a very strange dream he had, or a made up dream. Anyway it's quite obvious he's done no research into the subject!! The issue with fusion is the fact that in trying to control it, we use up more energy than is released, right?

You have successful nuclear fusion reactor, you wouldn't need to hack shit, they'd come to you.

Generally there's the issue of containing it - as plasma is unstable as feck and if anything in the reactor breaks/melts the fuel gets contaminated and the reaction stops/slows, there's also the issue of maintaining the reaction for long enough to be useful.
To me it's just an issue of other technology needing to catch-up: advancements in superconductors and lasers have helped lately. Radio waves have been used to calm the plasma down a bit aswell.
Time scales are enormous: There's a reactor called ITER. Should be finished in ten years, will probably be another ten years or so before ignition (more out than in) happens, it took twenty years to design. If I'm being optimistic I'd say first reactor on the grid 2050ish.

Yup i only studied about these nuclear things in school.I am not in this field at all.But it does intrigue me.

It's not the worst dream at all. I used to dream that a shark would kill me, and even though I got myself into situations where sharks couldn't attack, they always did. I once dreamt myself in jail, only for the prison officer to bring me my food, transform into a shark, and then devour me.
Actually that's an excellent dream. It has made your more aware of the dangers of sharks. I'd be willing to bet that you've never been eaten by a shark. You have your dreams to thanks for that.

I once dreamt of falling from 120 storey buildings roof ,at first i was really scared but somehow i realized in the dream that i am not going to die its just a dream and suddenly i woke up.
