Community Shield 2022: Liverpool v Manchester City 5pm BST 30 July

I don't know how people work at City, but playing only 2 matches before the Community Shield (and thus 3 before the PL begins) has to be considered a disaster of a preseason on its organisation for them.

Yeah, probably. No evidence of that in today’s game though. The opposite, if anything.
Definitely. Would be hilarious if he's a dud at City. Doubt it though.

I can also never get over what a weird looking fecker he is.

For a £100m signing, Grealish has been shite at City. Gets away from any media scrutiny too.

He will probably get on the score sheet regardless but if Nunez was putting on a display like Haaland today his thread would be hopping.

Matterface on Nunez: “the £64m man”.

Scousers and the scouser-fellating media, name a better duo.
But...that's how much he cost? I think you're reaching with that one.

Earlier talking about how they're not spending money and blooding in young players such as Carvalho........who they bought.

It's a disgrace.

De Bruyne is getting grumpy. Haaland moving like a rock.

Interesting watch so far. Liverpool are tried and tested and just doing what they're usually doing.

Surprised how poor Haaland's link up play has been. Grealish got into good areas but his final ball has been poor. Given they've unloaded Sterling and Jesus and who knows how long it will take Alvarez to settle in I think they'll be needing some big seasons from Foden and Mahrez in final third. And probably hoping Belgium go out early in world cup so KDB isn't flagging in run in.

It's easy to forget they were only 10 minutes off winning absolutely nothing last season and squad in final third is weaker so see if they make any more moves in the market.

DeBruyne getting annoyed with Haaland, he's a great player but he has a tendency to whinge when things aren't going his way.

To be fair to De Bruyne, Haaland has to make an effort, the guy was miles offside and didn't even try to move to get himself back on side or stretch the Liverpool back four. Shocking stuff

I sincerely hope this season continues in this vein for Grealish and Haaland. You might look good in the Bundesliga but the PL is a completely different kettle of fish.

That true ball to Nunez is what Haaland craves but you don't get that in Pep ball.
