Community Shield 2022: Liverpool v Manchester City 5pm BST 30 July

This isn't the Bayernliga. Shades of the white Heskey.

Short passes and progressive carries > playing Haaland in behind. Especially Grealish. Don’t think the two will have long term compatibility at all
Exactly too risky to pass him all the time. He did show flashes now though

Feels good watching Haaland shrug off that fecking shithouse Robertson like a full grown adult shrugging off a toddler.

Haaland showed great strength on that first shot to be fair. The guy is gonna score bucket loads but hopefully he will be a disruption to City’s style of play overall

Are city players purposely avoiding haaland? He’s made loads of runs and they ain’t playing him in.
Exactly why I didn't think he's the best suit for them, they wouldn't go direct and that's his forth.
He'll score goals though, but I see Pep subbing him off when he's seeking more control in game.

haaland would have fit so well under Ole with all that standing around

I feel like City are still adjusting to learn on how to play with a target man. They look as though they want to try to force it too the big man up top instead of letting the chances happen naturally.

I agree… definitely not the best fit. He’ll score goals no doubt but if players spot him quick enough then he’ll get a lot more.
