Music Commercial Hip Hop Thread

Given that there's another Preemo and Dre collab production, wonder if they could ever make an album together, some mixtape or stuff. Shit would sell no doubt.

That's probably another beat that they did while in the studio for the Compton soundtrack that eventually found its way to Game.

That video

But why exactly doesn't Eminem actually rap along to the beat thesedays? Its like he writes a rap, spits it, then just picks any old beat, throws it on top, and thinks 'yeah, that'll do it'.

He has gotten so obsessed with just spitting angry bars, than actually making a song.

Why is The Game rated so highly by many in here? I only view the thread every now and then, but happen to notice this trend...

Great rapper in his prime
1 classic album
a solid discography + immense storytelling.
Carried the West on his back, leading to the resurgence of the entire coast.
He is what some would classify as 'Real'. Both on and off the mic.
Rebel+Renegade.

Good explanation.

I must admit, he has been fairly consistant when you compare him to those that broke on to the scene with him, or around the same time as him.

He's more relevant than 50 Cent nowadays too.

Personally found the Documentary 2 utter crap. Its amazing how the original Documentary all those years ago sounds far better

Thought Scarfaces new album, had some great songs

Game is/was the greatest rapper in his prime?:lol::lol:

BMT the only people I know that properly properly check for Game are my Asian homies (I've never understood why he is so popular amongst Asians)

I used to love Game but the bi-polarism and constant name dropping wear thin very quickly. Is now more known for who he beefs with than his music which says a lot

Literally nobody said that.

Pardon me 'great' rapper, that's even disputable he made DOPE music but he very much lost his way. I dunno when his prime is/was but yeah he was good dunno about great simply because the dispute as to how much of his first album was his.

But even since then he's had hot spells, I'n listening to his album as I write this 2 songs in and it sounds decent (at least I think I'm 2 songs in the first song I heard was the Badu sample song).

hmm, not gonna lie, not an instant classic for me (The Doc 2) - maybe needs to grow on me....but not better than The Doc or (my fav) The Doctor's Advocate...

I've spoken to the CIA earlier, not even they have access yet. They said to be on the lookout as it's set to drop on the 16th. I'll try to get hold of my contacts in the FBI and get them to let me know if they hear any news on those disgusting thieves leaking this.
