College Football 2009

Michigan and FSU currently heading for upsets against Indiana and USF respectively. LSU is barely holding on against Miss St. as well.

 Michigan just scored. Tate Forcier, what a QB. Scored the go ahead TD then rushes for the 2-point conversion. Up by 3 with 9 mins to go.

And FSU just intercepted with 6 mins left, down by 7. Nevermind, Ponder just fumbled and gave the ball back. Controversial, as his arm was starting to move forward when hit, but it's ruled a fumble.

EDIT: Kinell, Indiana just scored a TD. 8:57 left.

You a Miami fan like I am? We're getting totally outclassed right now.

Some at ESPN had Miami Top 5 and one guys said they were #1?

Jesus this is such a weird college football season.

Out of our first 4 games, Va Tech was the one I was worried about. It's always tough against them. The rain didn't help out at all either, and since we couldn't get our run game going like they did, it was bound to happen. All we can do is reset and get ready for next week. If we win next week, we'll be back in the Top 10. I don't see us dropping below 15th. Credit to Beamer though, they worked the hell out of our offensive line, making Harris look like a different QB than the last 2 games. We came out firing in the 3rd, but those 2 dropped balls by our TE fecked our momentum when we could've been back in it possibly 14-21 as that drive would have put us in the red zone.

Another thing about Va Tech is they always seem to have brilliant special teams and they made a another big play today

Cal got destroyed. What. The. Hell.

Good to see Tebow get knocked out. Sick of hearing about him.

 Glad to to see him take that hit too. I can't wait to see all the UF fans when they lose their precious, and they end up lining him up at LB in the NFL.

Good game from Miami. Great 2nd half, the O line was back and our D was outstanding. A few stupid penalties need to be cleaned up, but I think our running game is starting to open them up.

We should be back in the Top 10 now.

Big win for Miami, OU are reeling

Honestly, Jones looks a good QB for OU. But our defense outlasted their hurry-up and we just wore them down. Huge win for us, huge month for us. If we can keep our wits about, we should run the conference. UNC looking good though this season, so that'll be a fun game to watch.

10/10/09 vs. Florida A&M
10/17/09 at UCF
10/24/09 vs. Clemson
10/31/09 at Wake Forest
11/07/09 vs. Virginia
11/14/09 at North Carolina
11/21/09 vs. Duke
11/28/09 at USF

Yeah you guys are due a BCS game, been a while for the U

Texas should handle OU in two weeks but you just never know... Bradford could return and have a great game. And form goes out the window often in rivalry games.

It's the OU game that will make or break UT's season. I really don't see any other opponent that can outscore UT. Maybe OkState in Stillwater. Baylor could have been interesting until Griffin got crocked.

The Red River Shootout is always up in the air, as you said because it being such a big rivalry. If UT don't foul that game up, they probably will be playing Florida or USC in the national title game. I know USC is a bit back right now, but surely they will pass Va Tech and Boise St if they keep winning and also the SEC is just so tough that it is just about impossible to get through their unscathed.

Colt McCoy hasn't exactly been living up to Heisman expectations. And Texas hasn't impressed either, unless you think they did something by beating UTEP handily. The one game they've played against decent competition(Texas Tech) could've gone either way. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go down to any of OU, OSU or even Kansas. Very average year in college football. I'm an LSU fan. No way we should be a top 5 team. But I don't think any of the schools behind us are deserving of being ranked ahead of us either.

Granted he's not throwing for 400 yards and 4 TDs per game but he's playing quite well, especially in the second half. His INTs are up but he's passing for about 285pg with 9 TDs and completing 71%. His projected totals over 12 games would be 3435 yds, 27 tds, 15 ints, and 71%. Surely Heisman numbers to go along with a probable top 5 team.

His rushing numbers are down as well but Texas has a far better running game this season compared to last season.

As witnessed last season (35-7), Kansas isn't up for the big boys. I expect Texas to overpower them again. This year it's in Austin. It would be an improbable upset for Kansas.

You don't win the Heisman Trophy by posting a ratio of less than 2/1 TD to INT. McCoy simply isn't going to win it unless he picks his game up.

As for Texas, I'm just not impressed. It's Florida and everyone else for the National Title.

And it's Tebow and everyone else for the Heisman.

Still a couple of potential banana skins in there. UNC and USF for sure.

Both games are the ones I'm looking forward too. The UNC is the game remaining I'm worried about. I should be at the USF game if all goes as planned. AP has Miami at 11 now.

I'll definitely be watching UF vs. LSU next weekend. LSU is suspect, and they proved nothing against UGA this weekend. I pray they knock UF out of it, which will setup them up for the Bama game on 7 Nov for control of the SEC. Their Auburn game the week after UF will be tricky though.

1 Florida (54) 4-0 1,486 1
2 Texas (1) 4-0 1,416 2
3 Alabama (5) 5-0 1,404 3

I'm sorry but the ranking are just so stupid. The way this season is going just proves it. Teams come out and like a lion one week and mouse the next. And who the hell have Cinci beat to be ranked 10th? Get the hell out of here. Ranking shouldn't even come out until week 5 or 6.

Cincinnati and TCU stick out like a sore thumb. Miami would beat both by no less than two touchdowns surely.

In fairness though, the real rankings don't come out for a couple of weeks.

True but they are based on the polls. However, Cinci will get crushed on schedule stength. Same for Boise. TCU won't get any help either.

I'd love to see the Gayturds get knocked off v LSU. It would send them spiralling down the charts just before the BCS poll is released.

Can't wait for LSU - Florida... the way this season is, I wouldn't be shocked if they played each other again for the National Championship.

I'd love nothing more. But I have a feeling we'll get embarrassed. Our offense and particularly our QB just aren't there yet.

Agreed. Us or Bama. I'd be surprised otherwise actually.

Huge game going on right now 10-3 Florida up on LSU

Florida's defense has been absolutely excellent

Florida will be hard to beat this year. In fact they will not be beaten this year.

Yeah I reckon they will when the national championship, unless Tebow gets another concussion
