Shame we’re aren’t more like Brighton
I’d like to hear @Wumminator ’s thoughts? Are you going to dig out a quote from Zlatan saying something anti LGBT?

What has the World Cup got to do with Manchester United?I’d like to hear @Wumminator ’s thoughts? Are you going to dig out a quote from Zlatan saying something anti LGBT?

I know this is not specifically about the bids, but I feel there is so much bad rhetoric about Qatar. It would be nice balance the scales a little
Christ he really got to you so insecure.I’d like to hear @Wumminator ’s thoughts? Are you going to dig out a quote from Zlatan saying something anti LGBT?
Obsessed much? Weird behaviour that.I’d like to hear @Wumminator ’s thoughts? Are you going to dig out a quote from Zlatan saying something anti LGBT?
That's entirely correct but the Qatar criticism related to the World Cup was completely valid as it was modern slavery conditions that made the whole tournament possible. The argument that these states invest in vanity projects, like football teams, as extension of soft power is a fairly conclusive one. After seeing the ridiculous smearing attempts of China/Tiktok by the US Congress, I'm now cautious about any of these stories/propaganda we hear about these so called "bad countries"

You trust China?
Well any distrust would only be based on what I've ever read via Western Media, which after seeing the absolute blatant narrative being pushed by congress the other day, who knows whats actually true. You trust China?
You trust China?
Probably getting one of those sweet retirement deals when he's ready to quit top level football (aged 53)
You trust the US?
It's one of those situations (which unfortunately seems to be happening in far too many aspects of life) where neither side are good, but some are worse than others. You trust the US? You shouldn't trust any of the states vying for power
I trust that private US companies aren't controlled and intrusively surveilled by the US state, yeah.
Unfortunately the same can't be said about Chinese companies and the Chinese state.
There isn't really any comparison between the two countries when it comes to this stuff, so it's futile trying to draw one.

He is Muslim, nothing to do with being paid, he won't have a western point of view of the matter
You mean you actually want to talk about the topic of this thread?! How cute!So when do we expect to hear anything about the next steps? End of the week?
Has he ever said he's a practicing Muslim? It's well known he drinks Alcohol.
Also how do you know he won't have a 'western view' despite actually being a westerner?
Zlatan? You sure?He is Muslim, nothing to do with being paid, he won't have a western point of view of the matter
“He was born to a Muslim Bosniak father, Šefik Ibrahimović, who emigrated to Sweden in 1977, and a Catholic Croat mother, Jurka Gravić, who also emigrated to Sweden where the couple first met. Ibrahimović identifies with his mother's faith and considers himself a devout Catholic Christian.”
Zlatan? You sure?
Zlatan? You sure?
Agreed, that’s not how Zlatan rollsSure no, I assumed based on something he said in an interview about Ramadan last year, but fair enough. Still its not likely he said what he said because he is being paid to
Are you being serious? So if you drink alcohol, you are not Muslim?
Watch any interview of him talking about his upbringing and views. Anyway, the OP insinuated the view is because he was being paid, very insulting but not surprising I guess
Has he ever said he's a practicing Muslim? It's well known he drinks Alcohol.
It’s not clear to be honest, he’s never stated this publicly. Just another ingredient in the enigma that is Zlatan.Think you need to have another read of my post mate.
The bolded part is me asking you a question about whether or not he's ever indicated if he's a practicing Muslim. You seem to watch a lot of his interviews so you should know if he's ever confirmed if he is a Muslim.
The second part is me stating the fact it's well known he drinks Alcohol. Something that practicing Muslims tend not to do.
So I've no idea where you got the idea that I'm claiming drinking Alcohol means someone isn't a Muslim. Especially as I've no idea if Zlatan even is a Muslim.
Zlatanism presumably.Zlatans father is muslim while his mother is christian. He himself has never spoken about which religion he has chosen or belongs to, and I personally don't think he's a religious person at all.
I think Wittgenstein would struggle with that question. What is actually happening in here?
What is actually happening in here?
But there’s no evidence to say he’s actually a Muslim, and he’s always lived in the west as far as I know? Why did you post this?He is Muslim, nothing to do with being paid, he won't have a western point of view of the matter

Nothing. Nothing at all. There is a void to be filled! What is actually happening in here?
Is the correct answer! It's the international break.
