Club Sale | It’s done!

This deal is not getting done. I don't know who needs to hear this, $Man Utd stock is -6.5% today. The market always knows. Info must be leaked. Looks like the glazers are staying.

Odd that the Glazers are putting pressure on the bidders to hurry up? Or is it the case of you give us what we want and we will close the deal today?

Not really. The club has been losing money for 3 years, the infrastructure is a mess and the interest rates are set to sky rocket. Its only a matter of time before everyone notice that the emperor has no clothes, which, considering that the emperor in question is Avram Glazer, is not a nice sight.

Behave

You think it leaked to the market but not the media?

Sounds like a vague idea that might make some sense in isolation, but not really: the Glazers don't give a flying feck about what happens to United after the sale. That's one thing you can be 100% sure about.

Classic Lucas, always going on about the stock market

Such huge irony in this post.

Shock horror that someone spending over £5bn wants to re-evaluate the company structure.

With the information we have available this is my prediction on how this will end. (before we have the final result)

1. The Glazers will sell and the price will be somewhere between £5,5 - 6 billion.

2. Sheikh Jassim and his NTF will be our new owners because they;

a) have more financial muscles and gives the impression to have more willingness to invest the sum that takes to buy MU.

b) seems to have a more complete business plan including joint ventures with co investors or business partners, developing new streaming services especially in the ME, building a new stadium and developing the infrastructure around Old Trafford. As a whole a more diversified plan increase their chance of ROI and that’s why I think they’re willing to spend above expected price to secure this unique ownership.

3. The only scenario I see Ineos as winner in this bidding war is by offering the Glazers a significant higher price than the NTF. That means probably a price well above £6 billion in probably in one installment and I find it hard to believe that SJR is willing to go that far. With recent increased interest rates and partners like JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs then I can’t see how a price well above £6B would be financially defendable from Ineos perspective. Never say never but hmmmmmm, Nah.

"We would like people working for the club who are good at their jobs. This policy will result in the termination of most of senior management."

Still don’t believe in hostile changes.

Settle in and access.

Good enough for me thanks.

They won't want to be spending cash or committing the club to transfer outlay in the summer, as that could impact the the sale price. At a certain point, they will have no choice but to sanction the spend, but they would much rather that if the club is to be sold, that it is sold before that point.

Pretty sure there was an article early in the Qatar interest stating that all employees would be given chance to impress and show what they can bring/highlight where they need assistance. Chelsea had a 100 day process if I remember correct?

I like to think the sheikh would give ten hag what he needs. There's no need to go mental with the cash, the gaffer knows what he's doing, so spend accordingly, whilst preparing the refurb/plans for the stadium.

I think whether or not the boardroom has an extender might be a deal breaker.

How dare they setting roght the rot set in by the Glazers!!!

But seriously though, I do hope they (or Ineos) don't go in Kawabanga style and make a whole lot of changes just for the heck of it.

We finally seem to be on the right track on field, nothing should hamper that...

I think Wittgenstein would struggle with that question.

He might have said that spouting nonsense is sometimes less detrimental than some people think.

But then again, he might have added that spouting nonsense can be serious business.

He also might (probably would) have told everyone to just shut the feck up.

To be fair, United have been an absolute shitshow for most of the last decade, but do finally seem to be getting things together off the pitch and do now at least give the outward appearance of competence.

Yes, agreed, I was being somewhat facetious!

Absolute in shock over this. I have a few posters on here telling all the time that John Murtough is the Messi of DoFs. If he's binned first thing, they might have to be put on a watchlist.

Murtough might survive, but I cannot see Arnold remaining in any capacity if there is a change in ownership.

of course they will, the way United had been managed for the past 7 years is a shambles.

He would probably harangue anyone with a hot fire poker who disagreed. Oh wait...he did that.

Pretty simple. We have a top tier manager for this era. However owns us should work in cohesion with that. If Mortough and ETH relationship works why bring in a new guy who might clash.

Al Thani will probably sack Arnold first thing in the morning. Shahbaz is basically his replacement. SJR would probably wait a couple of months before doing it as he has no one lined up for the job (I can't see him demoting anyone (ex Blanc)). Which probably explains why SJR bid was seen as sophisticated by United.

Regarding Murtough I reckon its the opposite. SJR would probably bring Mitchell in as he's in line with the bringing Manchester United back to Manchester (the guy is a local). Al Thani would probably give him a summer.

Again who makes old buildings look new. Forget the refurb just get a new building. But I guess it’s stayed there for a reason. It carries a lot of history and I think that’s why it stays. I don’t think this is a Glazer thing. But just my opinion.

My nephew loved his experience there.

:D But in slightly more words.

The whole market just gapped up and is now retracing. It’s perfectly normal for stocks to fluctuate. When there’s massive volume is when someone knows something, which is not today.

Andy Mitten, who has been critical of the state of OT and is in favour of a referb, said this is absolutely bollocks by the way. Specifically how it is described.
