I need news soon, this is a joke...
A joke that keeps on givingI need news soon, this is a joke...
Manchester United still has £725+ Million in gross debt.
If you support INEOS or any other buyout bid that 1. Keeps the Glazers here and or 2. Doesn't clear the club debt, then you're anti-Manchester United. It's that simple.
You supported United through the Glazers, who saddled us with all that debt. You are anti Manchester United. It's that simple.
We need to walk away
It’s an interesting theory, but then how did other clubs with hugely unpopular owners, ever manage force them out?I saw an article today on twitter (Sorry can't remember by who) that said this sale feels like a last act of vengeance by the Glazers against a fan base that despises them, and I couldn't agree more.
They've never really been loved or even liked at this club, even when we were were doing well in the last few years under Fergie. The way they purchased the club using debt made them an enemy before they even picked up the keys. I'm not familiar with what their relationship is with the Tampa Bay fans, but I'm assuming they aren't anywhere near as hated..
Now with this sale, they could obviously do things much quicker, they know this process is hurting the club, slowly torturing the fans and part of them is probably enjoying it. If they were dealing with a fanbase that adored them, I really think they would have wrapped this up weeks ago, if not months.

I don't think the Glazers care much about the fans neither doing a vengeance on us. They only care about how the value the can be squeezed from the club. If rumors are true, Joel and Avram want to stay merely because they fear they exit at the timing where the club is at relatively lowest valuation. they want someone like SJR and his purse to invest in the club and inflate the value of the club. It’s an interesting theory, but then how did other clubs with hugely unpopular owners, ever manage force them out?
With the exception of the Venky’s who are still at Blackburn, the likes of Mike Ashley, Joy Seppala, and the Birmingham City (BSHL) group in reference to the club’s Hong Kong-based holding company Birmingham Sports Holdings, have all stepped down after huge protests and criticism in the local media.

The other Glazers sibling simply want to cash in right now and invest in other asset class.

Yep. The previous reports said SJR would buy out the 4 sibling class b shares and granted the put options to Joel and Avram under certain terms. This move could lower the financial burden for SJR to take full voting control of the club. This could leading to a legal battle with the class a minority shareholders.Ok, lets say they are thinking like that. Why would SJR invest while they do not contribute anything? Jim is not going to invest a penny without diluting the Glazers share and class A shares.
Big day today!
Eid Mubarak for anyone celebrating today .Well it is Eid today so Eid Mubarak
Yeah that's the Glazers, the gift that keeps on giving - just like herpes.A joke that keeps on giving
I’ll raise @GaryLifo and say we’ll be none the wiser when the Premier League season kicks offBlame @GaryLifo
He had the big daddy diesel balls to come out when the Reuters news broke, at a time we all thought it was over, and predicted we'd be none the wiser after two weeks.
Their love for United is unquestionable. It was worth 20m a year in dividends.
Mrs agreed to anal?Big day today!
They live in America, they don’t care what goes on little ol Manchester. Fans will need to charter several A380’s from Qatar and fly out to Florida and stage the biggest protest in their back yard/garden since the infamous Trump affair at DC.It’s an interesting theory, but then how did other clubs with hugely unpopular owners, ever manage force them out?

I've just been ridiculed for saying much the same thing... although I didn't go as low as 8th!If we don't get our asses onto gear soon and the transfer window turns out shite, I can easily see a scenario where we have a crap 1st half of the season and end up anywhere between 4th and 8th. Kind of worrying times
Obvious false equivalence
We seem to be swimming in sea of speculation in the absence of anything credible.
Accordingly in the absence of anything credible here is my contribution, speculation theory, now, version 251, laced with more repetition.
The pressure is on Sir Jim.
Jassim made his last bid which seemed to catch favour with the Glazers.
The Glazers, via the Raine leaked to Reuters, suggesting that they are in advanced talks with a view to providing exclusivity to Jassim.
Sir Jim , who was otherwise was unmoved, is now forced into overdrive. He is now scrambling around trying to secure finance to improve/adjust his bid. He is also probably looking at the option of a complete buyout to remove the Class A shareholder issue. Given the challenges in raising that type of finance, in the current climate, even with the help of possibly the Elliott/Carlyle group of mercenary parasites, he has conveyed this to the Glazers who have given him a little flexibility on time.
That said, I think Jassim is pushing them with a financially loaded deadline and the pressure is on the Glazers to keep everyone engaged.
The press blackout has been imposed on all parties, including Raine, however we should hear soon, if Sir Jim can’t square the circle.
Jassim, is frustrated by the delay but if comfortable with the finances and can stretch, if necessary. Sir Jim also has to think out of the box to counter a further refinement to the Jassim bid.
In the meantime, business as usual at United, the usual lack of clarity on finance to Arnold and Murtough who are sent into action with blindfolds but are happy to do so with their spectacular wages and options secured.
The fanbase, who are now highly skilled at recognising a crappy transfer window are worried that they will continue to be psychologically damaged knowing that a unfulfilling season awaits, with United being guaranteed to be the victims of several thrashing, but also lamenting that it could have been so much better but for our current overlords, hence continuing dismay.
New version of speculation theory possibly tomorrow or later today.
We should just merge this with the Depression and Anxiety thread in the general.
Grubby Glazers are Greedy GoblinsYou are loving your alliterations today!!!
