Not as cringy as this twitter account who uses Jassim as profile pic and talk in "we". "We will buy the club and return it to its glory", "We will submit the bid", etc. Its a shame I didnt save it. Imagine a grown up man doing that...
6th is still fine, we need to pray we don't meet the fate of Lausanne for exampleYou would read posts from the superior fans defending Jimmy boy trying to convince everyone how Brexit is working and everyone else knows nothing while we are swimming in mediocrity in 6th-7th place.
Since day one we were against the Glazers and there is nothing preventing the fans to do the same with Jimmy.
Amusing. Almost as if people change their minds when there's better options available.
That's fair enough. But if you read those tweets carefully, he's saying more than just point out his preference. That's what everyone is laughing at.Amusing. Almost as if people change their minds when there's better options available.
Is this because of the Glazer staying stories.
Pretty much. But its just those pro-Qatari bid losing their sh!t based on some reports and those against mostly trolling or laughing at that.Reading the last couple of pages I thought SJR had bought us.
Seems there's no news and it's still 50/50?

Complete and utter deflection with a smattering of hypocrisy.
It's very evident in this thread that 99.9% of the name calling is done by the Qatari supporters, and the small portion that is done by the Ineos supporters appears to be mostly in jest, with some light trolling once the other side start. Most of the negative stuff about Qatar is based on fact, human rights issues mainly. The criticism of Ineos is mostly based on guesswork regarding the bid and what it means, despite the fact we know very little about either bid for differing reasons.
There is then the nonsense, usually from the Qatar supporters about the various 'washing, political things etc that completely ignores the fact that whatever Ineos do Qatar do, on steroids usually.
This thread and the unbelievable posts from many who should know better, and many who appear to be immature (to say the least) has jumped the shark so many times it is beyond embarrassing.
I have been largely defensive of Ineos, mostly because the amount of nonsense posted about them by posters claiming absolute knowledge. To me both have their positive and negative sides, but I will be ok with either taking over at this stage, just to start/complete the process that will see the club restored and the Glazers gone. Make no mistake with either of the new owners the club will be sorted out, and we will compete financially.
Pick your side, try to post positively about them, don't indulge in ridiculous name calling or wild assumption and this thread will be much better. It's time to be constructive, whining and losing your mind over things beyond your control is just daft.
How do you know this surely?but I will be ok with either taking over at this stage, just to start/complete the process that will see the club restored and the Glazers gone. Make no mistake with either of the new owners the club will be sorted out, and we will compete financially.
There are ways around that if you really want the asset. The problem here is that there are six siblings. Four seem to be willing to sell the club at any reasonable price. Two want top dollar.Sometimes ownership can be more valuable than cash for long term. SJR is playing his cards perfectly, he knows Glazers are suckers for future gains and Qatari will never accept less than 100% ownership. Glazers are greedy and unwilling to let go of the club. They want to have the cake and eat it too.
He said he wanted to challenge PSG when he bought NICE, they were 5th at the time.
PSG since he bought them
18/19 7th
19/20 5th
20/21 9th
21/22 10th
22/23 so far 8th
Not only he did not improve them, they went backwards.
Every united supporter who is not convinced he will change anything in united has all the right to say so, not only that, these fans has data to back up their claim about Jim as an owner as mentioned above. Now add the thing that Jim is not buying the entire club, but the Glazers are still part of it and you will have a high rate recipe for failure.
Is this because of the Glazer staying stories.
No one wants them around in any capacity.
Unless there is a Glazer with 'final say' on matters, not influence, but ultimate authority, everything will change.
We'll have to wait and see if that is for the better, just as we would with Qatar.
On a more pertinent note though, this interregnum is destroying our chances of having a decent transfer window with business done early. Seems like till their last breath, these Glazer cnuts will keep on sucking any positivity out of the club.Pretty much. But its just those pro-Qatari bid losing their sh!t based on some reports and those against mostly trolling or laughing at that.

@devilishGirona were bought by City's owners in 2017. They finished 10th in La Liga, then 18th and relegated. And the three seasons after they've been 5th, 5th and 6th in the second division.
I don't think you can glean much from comparisons to other clubs.
Off course you can, It depends on the objectives and the plan you put for the club when you first buy them. That is why I brought up that he wanted to challenge PSG but he failed miserably.Girona were bought by City's owners in 2017. They finished 10th in La Liga, then 18th and relegated. Sir Jimmy will be retired by year 2 or 3, he isn't exactly a spring chicken. Glazers in place to take over :-)If SJR wins the bid then at least our 5th place Europa league spot is guaranteed each year. Not much will change under him, as he's a business man and United will get run like a business just like under the Glazers.
1st Year, lots of talk and bounce having secured United. Fans all excited expecting big things. Buys a £100m Kane to keep the fans happy and an extra £100m for other signings. Talks of rebuilding Old Trafford. Fans jubilant.
2nd Year. Fans asking for more transfer money to push on. Get one £80m player but not so much for others. Talk of putting out the stadium rebuild to architects.
3rd Year. Transfer kitty not quite so much overall. No mention of the stadium. Fans start getting a bit restless due to no silverware. Lovely 3D architect images shown to public to keep them sweet.
4th Year. Fans starting to moan a lot as still no Champions League. Stadium plans decided to be a rebuild. Will aim to do this 2-4 years from now.
5th Year. Still lumbering in 5th and happy with Europa league. Players not coming to Utd due to not being in CL. Stadium rebuild scrapped, decided on some refurbs and lick of paint.
6th Year, Fans really annoyed now. Banners going up at matches wanting Ratcliffe Out. Old Trafford given a lick of Dulux and internet increased from Dial-up-modem to Broadband.
7th Year. Fans had enough. All the promises when taken over haven't materialised. No rebuild of Old Trafford. Transfer kitty is low. Fans saying its been nearly 20yrs since we last won a title. United run like a business...just like the Glazers.
In the meantime City have done back to back trebles, Newcastle are flourishing and Spurs have been bought by Jassim and are full of superstar players just for the fun of it.
I’m now resigned to the Glazers screwing us over on a whole new level while pocketing themselves an obscene amount of money. There will be no 4th-of-July-style celebrations for us.
Apologies if this has already been discussed, but crucially, shares in the club are divided into Class A and Class B stocks. The Glazers still own all the Class B shares, which carry 10 times the voting rights of Class A ones. So even if Sir Jim buys 50% and Glazers retain 20%, the Glazers will still have the majority voting rights at the club.
This needs to be a full sale, we need Glazers out of this club once and for all, sadly they wont allow this to happen and continue to hold all the aces.
What? how would the Glazers come up with the money to buy the club?Sir Jimmy will be retired by year 2 or 3, he isn't exactly a spring chicken. Glazers in place to take over :-)

Jim will keep his B shares. He will own 66% of the voting rights, but Avram and Joel will still have a significant 33% voting right. So calling them non existing is wrong.Apologies if this has already been discussed, but crucially, shares in the club are divided into Class A and Class B stocks. And worse than that, Lausanne are sitting 3rd in the second Swiss division.Off course you can, It depends on the objectives and the plan you put for the club when you first buy them. That is why I brought up that he wanted to challenge PSG but he failed miserably.

If @Solius wants to bring Girona as an example of failure by City's owners, better explain me the following:
I do not believe this is a coincidence if City Football Group does so well. They have a model that begins with City and then gets expanded into other leagues. If people believe that SJR would not fail when his own working model are certified failures elsewhere, wake up!
