They would regret entering negotiations with levy...

Certainly easier to buy than us,Ratcliffe will get very little backing from the fanbase for what measures he has taken to get the club

Very pessimistic about the outcome as no one reliable is talking about Qatar anymore, very telling than Keegan has gone to ground since Ratcliffe took the lead too. Serious admiration for anyone who has any belief that Jassim can still win.

With what authority are you able to speak on behalf of the fanbase? Because the mood on whingecaf dictates it or?

He'll get plenty of backing from the fanbase

Why do Team Jassim assume everyone wants him? Is it because they're too naive to see past the big pot of cash?

They'll probably be divisions in the fan base for sure, but that would happen if Jassim got the gig.

Imagine Qatar failing to buy us but goes on to buy Liverpool or Spurs.

You would read posts from the superior fans defending Jimmy boy trying to convince everyone how Brexit is working and everyone else knows nothing while we are swimming in mediocrity in 6th-7th place.

Since day one we were against the Glazers and there is nothing preventing the fans to do the same with Jimmy.

I'm happy with SJR, but I would feel the same way about Qatar. One thing is for sure, the latter's national pride seems to be threatened here... Would they gracefully accept being outbid or would they up the ante with bribes one last time?

Look at you guys blaming Ratcliffe for getting into bed with Glazers.
There were reports the Qatari bid includes the club debt and additional investment. If that’s the case, they were never serious bidders.
If the Qataris really have the money and were serious about this, it shouldn’t be a contest.

I still think if the plan of the Qatari bid is to pump major money in to us then they will be willing to offer what's required to see off the INEOS bid.

If they don't, they probably weren't really planning to commit the kinda money in to the club that we were led to believe.
They are ultimately businessmen as well and don't want to pay more than what they think the value is.

Let's say you want to buy a new house and have plans to not just buy, but to do some renovations on top of that and make it your dream home. However, the previous home owner/real estate agent is asking for more than what you think is a fair price for the house. Do you bite the bullet and pay what they're asking for or do you put in your best offer and wait? In some cases you'd pay the asking price, but can someone really blame you if you only want to pay what you feel it's worth?

It’s going to be a very sad day if SJR gets the club with the Glazers in tow.

Just accept it already, I made peace with it, Glazer for 17 years, now have to take Glazers+BrexitJim.

Man, at least when it was only the Glazers there were nobody defending them. Now, all his brexit followers will abuse any poster who dares to write anything negative about him. I mean it started already. Just read the past few pages. The Glazers were being called names in every single thread all over the years, but now you might get the ban if you try to write fraction of that about Jim.

So has Jimmy's bid been ratified.

Talk on here and elsewhere is like it's done and the Glazers stay.

Can't believe them pigs are gonna be still involved. Oh well let's see what happens.

That's kinda hilarious. I would actually agree with you if the other side you are pining for was not someone like a Qatari state ownership. Have you seen the kinda defense some of those supporting the Qatari bid have put up for the Qatari state ever since they came into the picture?

You're talking absolute drivel.

I have been Qatar in from the beginning but SJR in is better than Glazers remain.

And sat here throwing a paddy because it's not what you wanted isn't going to help, just makes you look a tool.

SJR can only be evaluated after a period of time but here on the ol' Caf he's been pulled apart before it even begins.

Who gives a flying hoot if the Glazers remain on minority shares, it means naff all. Ed Woodward is still running the board by that same logic.

Complete and utter deflection with a smattering of hypocrisy.

It's very evident in this thread that 99.9% of the name calling is done by the Qatari supporters, and the small portion that is done by the Ineos supporters appears to be mostly in jest, with some light trolling once the other side start. Most of the negative stuff about Qatar is based on fact, human rights issues mainly. The criticism of Ineos is mostly based on guesswork regarding the bid and what it means, despite the fact we know very little about either bid for differing reasons.

There is then the nonsense, usually from the Qatar supporters about the various 'washing, political things etc that completely ignores the fact that whatever Ineos do Qatar do, on steroids usually.

This thread and the unbelievable posts from many who should know better, and many who appear to be immature (to say the least) has jumped the shark so many times it is beyond embarrassing.

I have been largely defensive of Ineos, mostly because the amount of nonsense posted about them by posters claiming absolute knowledge. To me both have their positive and negative sides, but I will be ok with either taking over at this stage, just to start/complete the process that will see the club restored and the Glazers gone. Make no mistake with either of the new owners the club will be sorted out, and we will compete financially.

Pick your side, try to post positively about them, don't indulge in ridiculous name calling or wild assumption and this thread will be much better. It's time to be constructive, whining and losing your mind over things beyond your control is just daft.

Considering what tge fan base think of the glazers, the fact that sir ratc has got into bed with them to take over suggests he doesn't give a rats arse what the fans think. Which doesnt bode well.

Sometimes ownership can be more valuable than cash for long term. SJR is playing his cards perfectly, he knows Glazers are suckers for future gains and Qatari will never accept less than 100% ownership. Glazers are greedy and unwilling to let go of the club. They want to have the cake and eat it too.

What if it is the only way to eventually get them out of the club?

It also appears that Qatar, who many believe are going to lead us to a land of milk, honey and money trees are also not willing to do what it takes to get rid of the Glazers. If they were that rich and that willing then this wouldn't have gone so far. It's time you blame them for their inadequacies and not the organisation actually doing what it takes to get the Glazers out.

Good post and an accurate summation

So you'd rather have the Glazers with minority investment from idk Elliot group? Cause that's what it was looking like with two of the Glazers wanting to stay and both SJR and Jassim unwilling to meet Glazer's valuation for their 69% sale.(btw SJR also has a bid for Glazer's entire 69%, its just that the option with 50% gets four of the Glazers what they want)

You are free to think whatever you want. I dont believe with the Glazers staying there will be any major changes for the simple fact the owner does not own the entire club. If Jim bringing his mates/experience from Nice to Utd, then we are screwed.

Got into bed with them or got close enough to squeeze them out from within?

Ineos is Jim, is Jassim the Qatari state?
