Club Sale | It’s done!

We have entered the "made up transfers rumour" stage of the takeover.

Both have been club targets previously. Quite sure ETH would approve

Whether ETH approves those particular examples or not is also pretty irrelevant. The point is that SJ should be keeping his nose out of recruitment.

Thankfully the likelihood of Christian Falk actually having an inside track on what SJ wants is borderline non-existent.

I remember when the third bidding round was announced, like a month ago, Ben Jacobs said after the third bids are in then the process could wrap up quickly

Still feels like we're some way off knowing who the preferred bidder will be

Some joke about a 4th bidding round, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see something resembling that. Like a bidding round for just full takeovers.

First of all, its bollocks

Secondly, if it wasn't then how is this helpful in a bid to buy the club? Glazer's couldn't give two shits what you do with the club after. They just want money. They would rather that transfer money be given to them to sell than to the club once they're gone

If this was true (it probably isn't) then it would mean he wants to make transfer decisions over and above the head of ETH because he obviously hasn't had any input from him.

In order words, another Boehly.

No thanks.

He can feck off then. Leave the player purchase decisions to the manager.

We made the right decision shifting away from this mindset, and it is something we should stick with despite liking ETH. The decisions should be made on a philosophy and not on individual desires.

It's depressing how easily fans will fall for this type of stuff, as if football's that easy. It seems to have been Qatar's only strategy for PSG over the years though so I suppose it shouldn't come as too much of a shock.

I for one am all for a frontline of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe without any consideration for what the coach wants.

Been called worse

Only if you assume those who know a thing or two were not consulted though right? And that even if this is even true!
I think he consulted Ed Woodward.

Just wait for this upcoming tweet:

"Sheikh Jassim believes that they can do things in the the transfer market that other clubs only dream of. He goes on to tell people to watch this space."

Or he already has a DOF and other executives.

Being run like PSG is almost as depressing as being run by the Glazers.

This reminds me of my idiot brother who we usually keep in a cage. We have to let him out for family events and we always say "Igor, whatever you do, don't open your mouth or take a shit in their kitchen bin" and, wouldn't ya know it, every fecking time he promises not to there's the strong smell of onions and turnips coming from that fecking bin within an hour and the hosts have been told the top one hundred reasons why Hitler wasn't a bad guy.

"Manchester United are the Doha Quest of football"

Be odd if he has a DoF already telling him targets without aligning with the manager.

The DOF job is to align with the club not the manager. The manager can negotiate later but ultimately a DOF works for the club regardless of who the head coach is.

Now being reported (again) by shit sources (Mirror, not posting the link) that Jassim has added a "pledge" to his bid: A billion (USD) will be dedicated to infrastructure and facilities in addition to the money spent on the purchase itself.

Why is this even a thing (something people, including journos, keep bringing up)? Do they actually think the Glazers give a single feck about what happens to United after they're out?

Some of them (again, including actual professional journos) keep mentioning this aspect as if it were something the Glazers have to consider when weighing up the offers.
Yeah it is a really weird one when reporters make out it’s going to give the party some kind of edge in the takeover race.

It’s like 2 parties offering to buy a house. One of them telling the owner they will build a lovely extension and landscape the whole garden once they’ve bought it off them. The seller couldn’t give a monkeys.

Whilst I agree it’s complete BS and I don’t want any owner acting like Boehly has and sign players without consulting or listening to the manager in the first place, I don’t think ETH would turn down Mbappe and Camav…

Didn't know you were related to Kanye.

Yeah, signing mbappe would be dreadful, it might upset the balance of our attack that's only managed 6 more league goals than the team in 17th place. feck off, kylian, no room for you here

Thank god man city were stupid enough to sign haaland, and it's worked out really badly for them, who the hell wants a player that can score 30-40 goals a season

Brother, yeah right.

I'm sure EtH would absolutely dread the thought of having Camavinga, Coman and Mbappe at his hands. Not that this tweet is to be taken seriously.

He probably prefers ramsay on a higher salary to osimhen and Kvaratskhelia as that would ensure 9th place next season

I very much doubt Christian Falk will know what the intentions of the Qatari group are regards Man Utd.

And Paul Mitchell has got a lot wrong when it comes to recruitment and he was a total failure at Spurs hence he jumped before he was pushed after signing duds like Dier, Janssen, Wanyama, Georges-Kevin N'Koudou, Clinton N'Jie.

I'd say Mitchell has quite a few friends in the media.

I mean anything that'll stop us from signing another Antony would be a good thing.

Exclusive: Sheikh Jassim will provide a £500m war chest in the summer to buy Messi, Pogba, Frogie and Burnt Face Man.

Its depressing that fans believe this crap. The club hasn't even been sold so how on earth would a prospective owner know what is needed?

And now we come full circle, there is no way Qatar through 92 Foundation with lifelong Red Sheikh Jasim dropping a cool $6.5-7bn on the club will not want to interfere, he will be all over transfers and player recruitment. Personally I think they , Qatar are making sure there will be no delays through EPL for and proper test and UEFA then drop the bid. This then gives then a unique advantage as they have two Elite Teams in Europe plus Braga as a feeder club.

PSG are completely over trading with a current wage bill 107% of their actual turnover. They have to sell players or let Neymar or Messi go as they can only spend 90% of wages, transfer and agent fees. Imagine having another super club where they easily transfer players between clubs. Let’s assume that Messi leaves PSG and they save €1m per week, which will help but they still need to sell 1 or 2 players.

Hypothetically they decide Neymar and Hakimi are offered to United in return for H Maguire and Martial. They value Neymar at £50m and Hakimi £50m and Maguire at £50m and Martial at £30m , that’s right hyper inflated fees. That means United spend £20m for Neymar and Hakimi we have more than enough scope to afford their increased wages, difference being £450k per week leaving and £850k per week going into our wage bill.

PSG benefit hugely as they now have the leeway to buy V Osimhen on top at £125m on a 5 year contract and offer him £300k per week plus they can absorb Maguire and Martial wage. This is the sort of crooked transfers which will be common between the two clubs and this is what worries the EPL as it’s clear this is not a private bid.
