Matt bought Tommy Taylor for a then record fee of £29995. Huge money at the time.He didn’t mind paying for quality.

He did. If Matt had a fault, it was his blindness to the decline of his players after 1968. It was clear to most that some players needed replacing but Matt would never countenance that.

You have no clue what you're talking about. If Joel and Avram kept their B status shares they could keep control with just 9.1% of the shares.

Absolute utter nonsense. Possibly the least informed post in the thread.

Good luck making that work FFP-wise.

Also, whoever the owner is, I hope to Christ they defer all decisions on who we target to the actual recruitment team, manager and DOF. Who Jassim or Ratcliffe like shouldn't be a factor, they should be keeping their noses out of it.

Boehly destroyed Chelsea's football structure upon arriving at the club. And he's destabilised the football side of the club by sacking Tuchel and various other key players on the structural side of the club.

I can't believe how he's blown in, spent a shitload of money, and the mess they now find themselves in. Another example of just blowing money without an actual proper plan, by the look of it. Some good players signed, but man, they are a cautionary tale.

It feels like these type of reports of Qatar wants to buy x player and invest x dollars in infrastructure is more directed to us Fans to have an uproar against Jim if his bid was successful and was not able to get in superstar players. I don't want United to be turned into a Football Manager type of club, and that is my biggest worry when it comes to Jassim's takeover. We have a great foundation dont want to rip the team apart and build from scratch again.

 They're really going all out on the PR offensive, aren't they?

But this should absolutely concern any United fan. Very Woodward-esque, plus he hasn't even talked to the manager. Unless he's going to get rid of ETH (also should be a concern).

But a lot of Qatari fans are going to be creaming themselves over a tweet like this.

Exactly. This should be rather concerning to fans, instead though, all the 16 year olds on Twitter with a Qatari flag in their name and bio will be delighted with it.

A lot of opposition to that tweet but Conan and Camavinga would be amazing for us

Irrelevant though, the issue is the owners deciding who is or isn't right for us and not the people who actually know or thing or two.

All three would be perfect for what we need! I wouldn’t even say Camavinga or Coman were very galatico-eeaque either. I’d rate signing Casemiro higher than if we signed those two

Only if you assume those who know a thing or two were not consulted though right? And that even if this is even true!

I want a more sensible approach

They haven't even consulted with ETH yet but already drawing up player shortlists, no wonder you will see this as a positive though

Let's be honest, it's probably one kid* who's set up thousands of bot accounts.

*That kid being the infamous Jassim himself.

Interesting, but would Camavinga really leave Real? He seems to be thriving there.
Also does Erik want these players?
This is the problem with who ever takes over both are going to want to have a huge say in transfers this summer and going forward. How the hell with FSP could we buy Mbappe(£200m), Csmavinga (£100m) and k Coman (£100m), SJ really doesn’t get it does he, we as fans hate the Glazers and anyone who gets in bed with them but we can’t influence their decision, only one thing can and that’s money, not future money in ground and players!

If you want to lavish the club and fans with billions of sports washing money to make united great again(all be it with asterisk) then maybe you should win the bid first and offer the Six Goblins at least $7bn so they would get 69% of that, finally piss off and put an end to this ridiculous farce of an attempt to sell a once Elite top 3 club in world football ruined by 18 years of gross negligence. SJ start briefing your PR that you want to pay $7bn but no one at Raine or Glazer are accepting your phone call or replying to emails!

Both have been club targets previously. Quite sure ETH would approve

We don't want him to approve of the owners suggestions.

The only input owners should have on transfers is signing off the funds. That's it.

Another one of my guarantees here...

ETH has not been consulted by the Qataris over these potential signings.

You have my word.

If anyone believes that report you should report yourself to A and E , you’ve hit your heads

I'm sure EtH would absolutely dread the thought of having Camavinga, Coman and Mbappe at his hands. Not that this tweet is to be taken seriously.
