Club Sale | It’s done!

Funny really, i remember a couple of months ago when people really wanted SJR over the Qatari's because of the Qatari's human rights record... but now that it's actually happening, people don't want him anymore and want Qatar in... haha

I hope all of you are happy that the glazers will get more money, but at a cost to increased debt (direct or indirect), glazers staying put, less investment in ALL areas of the club etc.

Nobody on this thread has any say or control over this. Please grow up.

We all want the Glazers out too.

Jassim wasn't as serious as everyone thought then. He hasn't even bid 5 billion according to Keegan's other sources.

It's says the valuation is higher, not the bid, so does that mean he's bid for a lesser percentage of the club as previous reports have suggested?

With his new restructured bid to buy less, he has more money to play about with. He knows the Glazers don’t care about taking the debt out of the club or how much he invests, so he will just use that extra money laying around to pay the current four siblings to leave.

I mentioned it yesterday, the key here is the four siblings who want to leave; they don’t care who is the owners, they just want the person who pays them more. Joel and Avram most likely said they will be happy with this Ratfcliff bid, but he needs to up the valuation to buy off the their siblings.

I think it is a done deal, regrettably.

I mean they would be better owners. Just because Ratcliff is taking on debt and keeping the Glazers on to win doesn’t mean shit.
You’ve literally no idea that they would be. Nearly everything from their campaign has been lies, who’s to say the puff piece about clearing the debt wasn’t a lie?

The Glazers might be staying, they also might not, no one knows, and if they do it will be a minority holder with minimal input.

INEOs will potentially be buying through debt, but not debt on the club, it will be on INEOs, so yeah, nothing to see there.

They are staying. There’s not been a single source for weeks saying that Jim will buy 100% of the club. Fecking hilarious that

The guy can’t even afford the club outright. We need significant investment in the stadium and squad.

Absolute shite

Jesus. Not even 5 billion.

"While technically Sheikh Jassim has offered more money because he wants to buy 100% of the club, this development may harm his chances.

It is also understood that Ineos’s valuation has been higher than that of Sheikh Jassim throughout the process."

What does that mean though? Because he seems here to be saying Ratcliffe has even offered less money than the Qataris, so he also offered less than 5 billions.

Feck Ratcliffe. No commitment to clear the existing debt, will take out a vast new debt to Goldman Sachs and now is getting into bed with the Glazers.

Whole bid reeks, no wonder Joel and Avram would be tempted

I'm not going to lie I don't understand half of what's happening/what would happen but judging by the comments on here I'll take it it's not looking good.

There is still value in supporting a football club for what it is and what its always meant; your birthright, a strong community, culture and identity, a shared experience amongst like minded people. Celebrating those moments of sheer bliss like it's the world cup final and Champions League final rolled into one. If we're outmuscled occasionally by a rich person's plaything or sportwashing project, who cares? A good manager will always find a way. Fergie saw them all off. Chelsea seemed unstoppable in 2006.

And in addition, Chelsea (who can still get relegated this season and City (currently facing 100 plus financial charges and breaches) are hardly adverts for that type of model. Sure, City, in this case might beat those charges but their title will be forever tainted. Even if they win the Treble, they'll never do it like we did.

United fans actively wanting Qatar in makes me feel really uneasy. Aside from the obvious social and political ramifications, we still have no idea what their intentions are.

Great post

So Glazers looking likely to stay in some aspect, fantastic....lucky i didn't emotionally invest with this takeover nonsense

I have zero faith he'll do United any good and I doubt INEOS will sell the club up until he's alive so...
Can a mod ban this guy now please? This is a human being you’re talking about.

You give Utd fans a bad name, our online fanbase are numpties.

You realise there's plenty of other investors that own part of United too right?

I believe the Glazers own around 69% with the rest owned by investors,
Might be wrong but I don't think I am.

Really?

What the feck is this comment?

Imagine people claiming they hoped the UK went to war with Qatar in the future. Honestly, some of the posts in this thread have been ridiculously bad.

He's 70, a multibillionaire and living in a world where living well beyond 80 is far from uncommon as well.

It looks great if you want the glazers to no longer have a controlling stake in running the club, want money invested into the club and don’t want to be owned by an oil state.

Of course ffs

Have never trusted Ratcliff's bid from day one. Leeches will still be sucking money out of the club

They won’t be able to if he has majority voting shares even 51%

Now he’ll have to calm down some of the fans and set out a proper mandate to restore former glory.

This could of course be yet another leak to get the Qataris to bid silently with an improved offer, if true hugely embarrassing for SJ and Qatar.

Expect Qatar to buy another PL club soon enough and move us a place lower in the PL. Assuming all this is true, of course.

But hey, at least we won't win anything and have to worry about the taint while Citeh become the biggest club in Manchester over the next 20 years.

I'm not going to lie I don't understand half of what's happening/what would happen but judging by the comments on here I'll take it it's not looking good.

It's looking great tbh. Ignore the Qatar fans, it's not a position based on logic or, as it appears now, reality.

Some random bank manager has taken them all for mugs basically.

It will be the 100% v Glazer share calculation. Lower bid from the Glazer stooge, but more of it goes to the family
