Any ideas on how much the pay off is? And this is for people who have been WFH and don't want to go back into the offices?

They'll get a number of months based on length of service if it is similar to what we were offered.

Ours was something akin to this:

0 - 3 Years = 1 Months pay
3y = 1.5m pay
4y = 2m pay
5y = 2.5m pay
6y = 3m pay
7y = 3.5m pay
8y = 4m pay
9y = 4.5m pay
10y = 5m pay
etc...
24 years service and over you'd receive a full years salary as a maximum.

Did people think Ratcliffe was some unique cuddly, lovable billionaire?

He's obviously a cnut.

Im not a SJR fan but thats a bit harsh when these are only voluntary, I could understand if they were mandetory but they arnt.

It was reported when SJR first took happy that he felt the club was far too over-staffed so this is likely a way for them to reduce the numbers to get them closer to where they need to be without having to sack people.

Yeah you don't get to where he is making nothing but popular decisions ... unfortunately. People like that are brought in to shake things up in a big way. At the same time any guy like that rarely makes decision in a vacuum and will have sought input from other people in and outside the organization. When it comes time to cutting everyone will throw the person next to them under the bus.

Not surprising. Ratcliff is a cnut just not a state sponsored cnut.

The only answer has always been fan ownership but that’s a long time away.

Voluntary redundancy is only shitty if they give you a shitty deal. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal otherwise.

Already know two people who have had forced redundancy in marketing. One a girl who lived alone in her late 20s.

Wank really.
On the brightside... She gets paid for doing nothing for a few months.

pretty standard acquisition affair. most of you aren’t successfully ruining people’s lives in your own jobs on a daily basis, and it shows.

I'm just curious how else this should be communicated in your eyes? And how that would be different in any other huge organisation?

over a candlelight supper.

The fact that they are changing/firing random people from the club before those responsible for most important things and that is medical staff(manager too, but that's different discussion, at least we can all agree on responsibility of medical team) that's been absolutely terrible and amateur level for more than a decade is big worry. If we stay with same people in that department then I don't think we will improve much football wise.

Dont all company's send out voluntary redundancy invites by e-mail? I know mine did
Yeah, doesn't seem like a scummy thing to me. At least with an email you have written evidence that you've been offered a redundancy package.

As far as redundancies go this seems mild. It's effectively a voluntary severance scheme that's been opened up to everyone, which isn't as good as keeping your job but certainly better than being chucked with nothing.

I got a months pay for every year worked when I was made redundant
We used to have that deal for all staff but then they capped it to a six months maximum. It was to make sure that there was enough money for directors and above to receive "enhanced" packages...
