I hope you sack that sonovabitch
The complete opposite actually. Pep would be telling him to keep him. Actually he already as in a different way. He said ETH isn’t the biggest problem at our club. You never know with pep though if he’s playing mind games or not. One good thing he said was Martinez is one of the best CB in the world.

Ineos checklist for the summer:

1. What to do with ETH
2. What to do with the guy in Spain and Sancho
3. Playing and admin staff hirings and signings.
4. Stadium and training ground stuff
5. Should we sell rashford
1. Keep him
2. Sell them
3. Yes
4. Get on with it
5. No
6. That was easy - chill And euros.

Just had an update on the impact on staff at OT.

Basically all were told that WHF ends across the board on June 1st. No consideration made for personal or contractual circumstances, you need to be in the office.

Trouble is, as has been said before, those offices don't exist any more because the club converted some to suites for use on match day.

To counter this, they have rented desks and chairs, and these will need to be brought in after a match day and taken back out into storage before a match day ad infinitum, because they have sold tickets to those suites. This comes at a cost of thousands of pounds every time. All because email traffic at Ineos went down a bit on Fridays.

Also, the staff 'perks' that almost go some way to negating the terrible salaries for non-football staff (ie, the people who Jim Radcliffe's ownership shouldn't actually have any effect on) are being slashed. Stuff like bonuses (that have always been linked to the performance of the club on the pitch anyway), staff canteen and staff socials are all either going to be reduced or removed.

Basically Radcliffe has come in like a bull in a china shop and decided that the people to blame for the poor recruitment of players, managers and coaches are the people at the club who earn £25k working in the catering/ticketing/stadium tour departments, and they shall be punished for it.
I'm not surprised as he comes a cross as the old fashioned tory dinosaur who seems to think WFH is some kind of semi holiday for employees. I cant find the survey, but there was one done in the US with major CEOs and most of them came to conclusion that WFH was here to stay. I like what Jim has done when it comes to hiring the right football people but I'm against the whole return to office nonsense.

I'm of the firm belief that his main goal here is to get people to leave voluntarily without having to pay them off (its already been strongly rumoured that INEOS are looking to reduce the workforce by quite a large margin). So threatening return to office may do that for him.

If they get all that done especially number 3, they will have earned some credit in the bank. As it is they could easily feck up all these things.

What’s the rule on us and Nice both being in the Europa? Thought you couldn’t have 2 teams who have the same owner in the same competition.

OGC Nice are owned by Ineos. Manchester United are owned by the Glazer family and Trawlers Ltd.

But they have some ownership with us aswell now.

Unless I missed something, then no, they don't? That's why Ratcliffe set up Trawlers Limited, so that Ineos aren't connected to the club officially?

Argh fair enough. You’re probably right then. I got confused.

Typical Tory scum

Now they're talking about De Zerbi? Jesus.

Jim is starting to look the bit of the idiot.

When I suggested before the cup final that the approach taken here was starting to look idiotic, many people went on the defensive. Certainly their bull in a china shop approach clouded the day of the cup final, but now here we are, and the supposedly ultra efficient Ineos team (who is not yet even in place) are approaching every manager under the sun.

The most concerning thing here, is that of all the managers who seem to be seriously approached, there is no distinct style of play or approach that joins them. What do Pochettino and De Zerbi's styles have in common? Gareth Southgate and Thomas Tuchel?

It looks like amateur hour, guys who are scared to make a call and have too many options. There is certainly none of the clear strategy we all expected. Put a gun to them and ask them if 4 weeks ago Kieran McKenna was even on their radar and I bet the answer is no.

It's a mess and I can see why Nice goes through managers like socks.

I hope they put some clarity soon, so we know what to expect next season. These constant news popping up here and there are tiresome.

It's almost as if everything said in the media is 100% true.

This is a facetious post. I take plenty of what the media says with a pinch of salt but it seems fairly credible that we've sounded out at least a few of the names mentioned. The seasons over and the manager doesn't even know where it stands when asked about it relentlessly. Its amateur hour and there's no way to spin the last couple of days as anything but a mess.

What worries me more is it doesn't seem like we have a plan, interviewing Thomas Frank and Tuchel? Nowhere near in terms of playing styles.. admiring Southgate? Do they even football?

I'm not sure how else they could've handled the situation. They clearly made the decision to give him the rest of the season and then review it. The review shouldn't take long really, we've been abysmal. We've been run for far too long by indecisive idiots. I like the ruthlessness, lining up their next move. And I'd wager when ETH is - as he should be - sacked, the club will move with more conviction than we've seen in a decade.

Ya that's what im saying. Even if you believe it's rumour, take any 3 of the names mentioned and I'm not seeing any logic to it. Have they considered our squad and who were bringing in? Because de zerbi and tuchel aren't the same.

I am positive towards the thought that the new regime will be able to judge things in a level headed way, and that will make us slowely rise again, under Ten Hg or under someone else.

What would make me really fear for the situation, the only thing, is if Ratcliffe, Blanc or Brailsford think they should go in and have an opinion on the manager situation at this point. That would prove they have learnt nothing from the errors made at Nice. Like Ratcliffe says: Anyone can make a mistake, we even encourage risking it, but you’re not allowed to make the same mistake twice.

They should establish a hierarchy with football competence to the extreme, and they again should be expected to do a thorough evaluation process. If they can’t because of red tape, gardening leaves or TTT, they should trust the ongoing processes. If there is one thing that’s worse than a Glazer/Arnold/Murtaugh laid plan, it’s a billionaire with a gut feeling and an ex-cycling manager with hubris itching to do stuff.

Do you not think though, that if they were leaning towards this possibility, they should have a more definitve candidate? As I say, perhaps all the names mentioned arent on the table, but certainly theres big smoke around pochettino, tuchel, southgate, and lately de zerbi and mckenna, while thomas bloody franks name has never went away. It seems desperately haphazard to me as these are all quite different managers.

I think it has something to do with the same people being on clubs board of directors too - which is why they shuffled that around

Pictures and angles show different stories. Seems ok to me to be honest.

I wonder if Pep had something to say to SJR which is why he pulled him down for a hug.
SJR has a face like he’s getting a prostrate examination

I’m not going to fully go in on them because they’ve been contacting a variety of managers. Honestly I’ll reserve a bit of judgement until after I see how we operate in the market this summer.

But I do understand your point in that the managers all listed have a variety of different styles, and the fact that Southgate is even considered is laughable.
