Claudio Marchisio

Comparing in making judgements on where they will line up in the pecking order. Comparing in general is fine but arguments as he isn't as good as this player, so he won't play better at this club is pretty stupid.

Agreed with that. I thought you were responding to my post, comparing him to Ramires.

Sorry. I didn't read any of the above posts, I was just making a general response to comparing him to players to argue if he would be good or not.

He's an excellent player, better than Cabaye easily for me. He's like an older version of Ander Herrera perhaps, although with greater goal threat and perhaps a bit more dynamism. I've longed for a midfielder who can dribble for ever and he would provide that. I think we could still do with one truly amazing player/talent in midfield even if we got him though, if we are really trying to become Europe's best.

Anyone from Marchisio, Vidal (who I think still hasn't renewed) or Pogba would be amazing. But he was probably there to try watching Vucinic.

Vidal renewed a few months ago.

Really? I read something last week, about him now renewing. feck me, then. Thanks.

Reports say he was watching Davide Astori, the Cagliari defender.

That Juventus midfield including Pirlo and Asamoah cost nearly as much as Fellaini. Depressing.

I can't see that they WONT sell a midfielder...

Asamoah/Pirlo/Marchisio/Vidal/Pogba...

Asamoah will stay as he is cheap, Pirlo's contract is up in the summer but I'm sure he'll renew. Vidal is probably the best midfielder they have and Marchisio is his regular partner, I think they'll look to get big money for Pogba.. he won't stay there forever.

We should totally go in for Pogba. The reason he left is no longer here, Moyes has got an easy sell in "That was the old boss, I'm giong to play yuo every week".

The reason he left is because of his greedy agent, who likes his players to move clubs every few years. But let's not get into that.

It's his agent, not his parents. If he doesn't like it he can choose to drop him or move agencies. Look at Valencia, he wanted to stay here so fired his agent. Hopefully he'll need a new one soon though.

They might well sell Pogba to someone but it won't be us and they're going to pocket big money for him. I reckon he'll be gone to PSG sooner or later, they'll be willing to pay up to Raiola.

To be fair big clubs weren't lining up for Valencia.

Where as they are for Pogba. And his agent will take advantage of that.

But if we'd thrown him into the first team, as a lot of people have suggested we should have, taking his agent's advice may not have been so straight forward.

But yes, he probably will spend his whole career on the move and no, we're not going to sign him anyway.

What the feck is wrong with you not wanting genuinely good midfielders and loving the shit ones?
I did not want him in the summer and i've silenced critics back then in another Marchisio thread with a well composed theory. People understand.

The one about Huddlestone being technically excellent and Barry and Parker improving our midfield? Well, carry on then.

He wants us to become a well oiled machine and Fellaini was the player he wanted. If only we could have signed Barry, Parker and Huddlestone, Bayern would have feared us. And rightly so, just imagine how many players of them would have left the field injured.

My theory is that Kevin wants us to become a truly intimidating force. Joey Barton will be the next player he proposes.

Yeah you're right, we should be extremely picky with which talented midfielder we get, because of the huge line of them waiting to join us.

He was thrilled by Fellaini signing. Delightful he called it.

He's not, I wouldn't have him here though.
Barry has vindicated me with his form. Have you seen the state of clevery and even Carrick? Barry would have seen us in fourth right this moment.

Fellaini was supposed to do that you nutter.
