City open talks with Milan over Kaka!!

If Kaka goes to City its not because he is being forced to go by Milan, its because he's taken the loot & swallowed his Religious pride!

An interesting story this one: Greed (a deadly sin) versus Soul - wonder who will win?!

If greed wins out, then Kaka cant be drumming that Jesus talk down anyone's throats ever again, nor wear T-shirts under his jersey with references to the Lord etc..

It will be a classic case of the Devil winning out again

harsh.

given the situation Milan are in (an ageing squad, with an owner who won't invest for whatever reason), they would gladly sell Kaka for these sums if it meant freshening up the squad with four of five decent players.

I think this Kaka transfer is actually going to happen. £100m. How can Milan turn it down? They can get Gourcuff back and rebuild their aging team with all the cash.

As for Kaka playing for City, well, it's just going to be funny. If they throw enough money at the club then City will get success eventually, there's no way around that. But it's going to be funny for a while first.

On a side note, Manchester must be the capital of football.

Certainly will be if city become as big as they hope. Easily rivals to Milan. Just with a bit more rain is all. And sadly slightly closer to Liverpool than we'd like. And Leeds. Bolton. Yorkshire. Wales.

Milan would be fools to turn down that type of money, hell they could probably asked for performance based incentives, like an additional 25 million if they dont get relegated this year

Agent will get 20m apparently... I'm sure he'll have kaka's best interests at heart then...

You could buy 2 Zinedine Zidanes for one Kaka and have change left over. I'll feel a bit sorry for him if the transfer goes through as hes obviously not worth anything like whats being offered and hes going to get so much attention, although I'm sure the £500k a week will help him sleep better at night.

What's actually the point in this?

It wont make City that much better, and it'll turn one of the best players in the world into a laughing stock.

And why is Hughes trying to pretend that it's a good "business" move?

I wonder if Hughes is confident that the owners will let him manage a couple of hundred million quids worth of players...

fecking hell. This is actually going to happen isn't it? It's really going to happen?

He can't be getting 500k! even if it is city, that must be media bollocks.
I'm off to puke at the thought of kaka in a blue shirt. A cheeky £40 mill bid from us could see if he'd choose success over money?
Ok muppet moment over but seriously if city pull this off and do so with other players then matching them in the league would be impossible. What are the chances of ronaldo ending up at city in a few years time?:nervous:

£107million

Thats close enough to the cost the of the team that won the Champions league last year

Mere minutes ago Diogo, a confidant and occasional representative of Kaka, revealed that the Brazilian was edging closer to a move.

"Milan have given the OK, so now talks between Manchester City and the player can begin," he told the Associated Press.

"In the next few hours Kaka's father will depart for England and then we'll see what happens."

Further news to follow from Goal.com...

 this is ridiculous. Theyr'e actually going to sign Kaka aren't they.

Milan mulling over £107m City bid

AC Milan have confirmed they are considering a bid from Manchester City reportedly worth around £107million for Brazilian star Kaka.

A statement read out on Milan's official TV channel said the bid had neither been accepted or rejected, but was "being considered."
City officials met with their Milan counter-parts in the Italian city on Tuesday, when they put their world-record breaking deal to the Serie A club.
Sky Italia are reporting that the deal on the table is worth €120million - which works out at a huge £107million.
Reports are also suggesting that Kaka's representatives - including his father - have been offered an additional €35million (£31million) for their part in the possible transfer, should the deal be concluded.
Kaka's spokesman has responded to Milan's announcement by telling reporters that his client had now "been authorised" to open talks with City.
With Milan confirming they are considering the bid, it now seems if Kaka agrees to the move - then City are indeed closing in on the most remarkable transfer coup in footballing history.

this is nuts.. 140million pounds. :wenger::wenger::wenger:

nobody could refuse such money.

Would have thought the first thing you'd do if you're going to build the world's best team, is make sure you find the right man to pick and be in charge of it. Can't imagine how they'd think that can possibly be Mark Hughes.

The bloke never fales to amaze me with his ability to act a complete bellend. Fair enough if you're going to buy your way out of trouble, but don't fecking pretend you're somehow operating on the same basis as everyone else, when you've just bid £90,000,000 on one player. Especially if you're not even the one making the decisions.

Ok muppet moment over but seriously if city pull this off and do so with other players then matching them in the league would be impossible. What are the chances of ronaldo ending up at city in a few years time?:nervous:

Dunno. you can spend as much as you like on players, but it's not so simple to just buy yourself the world's best team. I don't think it would work. Even Chelsea's success was ultimately built around players who were already there long before the money arrived, and having a manager who knew how to get the best out of them.

They will buy Digao too :D the Kaka's brother

SkyBet have him at 1/6 to go to City.

fecking hell, at 7/2 I'd happily put €100 on him staying. Think I will first thing in the morning.

This is nothing like what Chelsea did. Chelsea were already a very good team and even they went out and bought players yet to prove themselves like Drogba and Robben. The only really big name player they bought was Sheva.

Anyway if they want to build a team around someone, they should'v gone for Messi. Doesn't he have a release clause they could trigger or something.

milan wouldn't let us talk to him if we tried that.

kaka's not looking to move. he consistently states that he'll only go if milan feel that they need to cash in on him. at 40 million milan would want to keep him i reckon. it isn't like the berba situation where berba wanted out and had already burned his bridges.

Would be surprised at Kaka. You can't make yourself out as a Saint and then behave like this, going to a joke of a club like city.

My fear is the message this sends to other players, even if he doesn't go it's likely they'll sign a scutching of top-quality players in the near future.

As Mr Frank Lopez said...Never underestimate the other guy's greed!

But he does belong to God and greed is a sin so he shouldn't go, because it wouldn't be for football reasons, not yet.

Kaka shouldn't get criticised if he goes, if your club accepts a bid for you when you've publically stated you want to stay then theres not much point sticking around. Its not greed.

City's going down with a billion in the bank, a billion in the bank, a billion in the bank.
They're going down, They're going down,
They're going down, They're going down,
They're going down, They're going down,
They're going down, They're going down,
They're going down,
City's going down with a billion in the bank, a billion in the bank, a billion in the bank.

:lol::lol:

I was'nt paying much attention to this considering it the usual bollocks. But it looks like this will happen!!

Kaka playing for Manchester fecking city... its beyond a fecking joke. It would be hilarious if they continued their current form after signing him.

It's exactly like Chelsea, just on a bigger scale.

Chelsea tried to sign all the best players at the time but were told to do one repeatedly, then they went after every player we wanted and any scraps they could pick up around Europe. Such as Drogba.

When will Shitty actually pursue some world class defenders and combative midfielders?

Exactly. Suppose they get Kaka... they still need a keeper, a centre back and a striker at a minimum.

Seriously is City and Hughes just twits!! I expected more from Hughes.... before he considers buying a competitive midfielder, defender and striker, his concentrating on buying Kaka in JANUARY, and lets be honest they could by him and still go down!! I friggin hope they do buy him and go down not because i'm hating and because they managed to buy him but just for the simple fact they tried to run before they could flippin walk!!

Well, if Milan have accepted such a substantial bid, then I see no reason why the likes of Barca and Manchester, won't follow suit, if City show an interest in the likes of Ronaldo and Messi. It's beyond crazy, it really is. If I were Fergie or the Glazers, I'd be planning ahead just in case. Although, it still depends on whether Messi or Ronaldo(or Kaka for that matter) are willing to move. But money does talk. And you're right about Sparky. I think he's a dead man walking. I can't see him in charge at the beginning of next season. They want megastars. Mourinho does indeed fit the bill.

It's Madrid's galactico policy X 10000.

I actually think Platini would find some way to feck them over and put a stop to it all if it got to that point.

And I don't actually think that would be right in terms of how the market works and the fact that everyone else has been allowed to work in a free market system until now. The plus is that a 5th of a billion pound transfer is a rod for their own back that almost guarantees serious problems for their 'project' in the long term.

On the other hand, Ronaldo is not going to go to Manchester City. He will simply refuse personal terms.

You may have not noticed, but he is a spoiled prat. His ambitions are about on-the-pitch glory and history of clubs and prestige. He doesn't want to be part of a freak show unless it is a freak show that is one with a proud history (like Real).

He thinks City is a pile of shite and no amount of playstation All-Star Team crap is going to change that. Even if we told him we wanted him out because we needed the money, he'd just tell us to stuff it I suspect and sulk a bit and feck off to the continent.

Messi is probably the same way, except he might be lured over in the same way as Kaka - 'please leave for this amount for the sake of the club you love so much - we need the money!'. Give over!

You are aware Hughes is nothing but a puppet desperately clinging onto his job for dear life, right?

The Arabs outlined their plan of action the second they took over and that had nothing to do with Hughes, whose days are surely numbered there.

He's not going to come out and say something to the contrary, even though he's probably praying they get some defensive quality in.

how is he a spoiled prat if he values prestige and on-the-pitch honours a lot? wouldn't his feelings and presumed actions that you outline actually make ronnie look better than the likes of messi or kaka or robinho?

Ronaldo's a cnut no matter what, he wants money - he's a cnut, he wants to be successful - he's a cnut, he can't do right.

Because he would just sulk and be contrary even if we desperately begged him and told him that the money would save us from the end of the world like allegedly Meeeelan have done with Kaka.

It is admirable in this case, but it is still true.

Let's say he is 'his own man'.

You're probably right about Ronaldo. But who knows? What if they offer him a mental amount? Also, having the likes Kaka in their side will make them look more attractive. But, I tend to agree, he's too ambitious to move to a club like City. That is, until City become a force on the pitch.

So now Kaka is apparently about to do something really kind and generous, and Ronaldo is a cnut because he wouldn't do something like that (i.e. accept 5 times higher wages at small-time club).
