Apparently Mendes asked Mourinho if ManUtd would be interested in a deal to bring him back, to which Mou’s reply was «not interested».
(V/ the Scandinavian supporter site’s gossip thread. A Spanish journo called Diego Martinez - same twatter handle)
 
Too little too late for me. The guy has used and teased us for the past 5 years only to get more money with Madrid. Loved the guy whilst he was here, but it's over now. I'd be disappointed if we shelled out a big sum to bring him back at the expense of one of our young, talented attackers.

Unless of course he pulls a Zlatan and comes for free - I'm cool with that.
 
I'd take him on a free now, just so we could play Zlatan, Ronaldo, Lukaku and Sanchez all at the same time. Then he can go again.

He's pretty much a striker now and will be even more so in the future with age.
Mourinho wont lose faith in Lukaku due to stubbornness no matter how bad he plays for the next year or 2.
No chance even if Ronaldo begged for the move himself

PSG would love him, I'd doubt any other club would be interested simply down to his his wages/fee and looking like his top flight career is finally catching up with him. He'd be amazing domestically for PSG as they're way too good for their league.

What’s all this rubbish about him “using us for more money”?

He never came out and said he was coming back to United. It was all newspaper talk.

He’s been linked with a return ever since he’s left. That’s not his decision.
 
Why doesn't the club speak publicly and tells we are not in for Ronaldo.

I remember Fergie used to be very clear whenever a player or his group was using United to get a good deal from his club, Ferguson used to tackle it by categorically denying the interest. I have had enough of this now, can't take it anymore.
 
We are not a retirement home. Especially a player that left us to spend his best years elsewhere.
 
Would like to see us hold out our hand to shake on a deal and at the last min pull it away. We are not a retirement home, plus he is such a loathsome character I wouldnt want him near the club again.
 
I wouldnt mind him here as some sort of coach or mentor for our attackers.

Let’s be honest he is the ultimate professional and always has been. Definitely wouldn’t want him as a player though.

Even as a coach he would still be demanding everyone passed it to him so he could score. Doesnt strike me as a coaching type to be honest. Just a feeling

I think i read an interview awhile back were he states he has no interest in coaching whatsoever.
 
For 80m fee perhaps another 40m agent and signing on bonus and to pay him over 350k a week is insane for a 33 year old.

His impact on a game is diminishing and overall not the player be used to be. A club great, world legend but no thank you. Wpuld rather use that money on kane or dybala
 
This is probably the first time that I genuinely wouldn't want him back. Every other season where we have been mentioned, I'd have loved him back, but now no way. Real have had all the football out the lad and will want rid for their shinny new toy, I just hope we aren't stupid and go in for him.

No one will take him with the transfer fee plus signing on fee plus wages.

If Madrid want him to go it’ll have to be for free like the Rooney situation. Would I take him for free? I don’t know. Right now I’m thinking no. But then again he may be able to perform at a high for another three years. But they can’t expect money and force him out!
 
If Sanchez doesn't come i'd have him back with open arms. Players like Martial would learn so so much from him. When is his contract ending?

He's got 16 goals in 24 games so far this season, which isn't bad considering how bad him and his team have been at times. I think having 3 kids this year has taken its toll on him too.
Given his determination, I'd imagine he'd be right on board with a Madrid clear out and rebuild.
The only other club I can see him at is PSG , well if there's anything in them Neymar to Real rumours...

hasnt he had something like 500 shots or something thought. The lowest conversion rate in Europe, and the least KM's run.

I don't even think there is any romance about this transfer anymore. His return would be romantic maybe if it happened before Sir Alex retired but definitely not now.
