Christian Pulisic

He always seems to be a game changer for Chelsea off the bench. We could certainly use some quality from the bench if his fitness isn’t up to scratch. That alone would be worth the 7m wages.

Loan would be shit.

If he’s amazing, Chelsea will just take him back

Get an option to buy in at least

Even if we sign Antony I'd still go for Pulisic on loan. It's a low cost, low risk quality addition to bolster the depth in attack

a free loan is tempting, the only risk is the 7M annual salary
TBF, 7m really isn't all that bad and I'd consider that amount pretty low risk. Sounds like it's not dissimilar to what Mata was apparently on, less even.

Not really arsed about this unless it meant they'd take Maguire in exchange tbf

Yeah so would I

Same here. Even with the arrival of Antony, which now seems nailed on, we need depth on the front line. Pulisic is no Figo, but he can give us a few things that Elanga can't.

I assume we blowtorched 50m or whatever it was we spent on Amad and Pellistri. Was that an Ole or Woody decision?

As a United fan, I think Pulisic would be a valuable attacking option and would add a dimension to United if he’s not required to play every week.

As an American, I think he needs to get to Italy as fast as he possibly can. His body can’t handle playing every week in the Premier League, but his game is tailor made for Serie A and it would be huge for the US to have him in form heading into the World Cup.

Still can't believe we didn't sign Pulisic the first time around and instead wound up with Dan James. Even purely from a commerical standpoint it was an absolute mind boggling miss.

He seems like a knobhead along with an average footballer.

He seems worse than that, but I like him as a footballer. Aggressive dribbler, scores goals and creates them at a decent level for his age. He should just go to a club like Leicester, they have no RW and could take 30M off the Fofana price and still have money for 2 new CBs. Or Newcastle. Some team like that.

There is no point rejecting a loan move for Pulisic, it's only 7M salary at stake which is nothing for the club and it opens up much marketing potential

Have seen glimpses of how good he is, and think he'd mesh well with Ten Hag. But a loan only good with an option to buy.

Or just buy him ffs. Remind Chelsea about FFP and how much they've spent this summer

If we went in for Pulisic I would be very content. He seems attainable at reasonable cost and would provide great cover and competition.

Is he sexy, no. We could go in for numerous players to provide more verve, but at much greater cost.

Is he safe, yes. I see very little risk here and great comfort.

I’m a fan of pulisic actually and feel he’s been under-utilised and wasted a bit at Chelsea. My problem is I don’t know to what extent we need yet another winger. These rumours about Gakpo and Pulisic make me wonder if ETH sees Rashford as more a #9 going forward

A winger is the last thing we should spend any time, energy, or money on. This has to be a nothingburger…
not too worried if it's just a short-term loan (Sancho has been so poor) although he has been disappointing at Chelsea. Really glad we didn't pursue him as some papers claimed

Apparently in the summer it was seriously explored but dont see how we do that now Garnacho has exploded onto the scene and Antony was signed.

He's yours for a packet of crisps and a 6 pack of whiteclaw.

As an American, I think this should be a hard pass for United. We don't need someone that dribbles into trouble then turns the ball over all the freekin' time. I just don't think he is good enough for us.
Agreed. We already have 2-3 players capable of that.

We need a goal scorer.

Well he shouldn't, because he isn't.

To quote Meadow Sopranos boyfriend Noah

"I need options when I graduate Meadow"

Lots of games to be played this season, options is what we need!

Hell fecking no.

I'm more interested in taking Hakim Ziyech off their list of surpluses to requirements though. Ten Hag knows him and can make things work between him and Antony.

You must be out of your mind. That’s an even harder no.

Firstly he’s not been any better than Pulisic, the opposite in fact. Secondly he’ll be 30yo in 3 months so time is against him, given that wingers rely more on speed and endurance than everyone else and decline faster as a result.

Finally, he’s got 2 more years left on his contract. And you just know that Chelsea will try to fleece a high fee from us while his agent will try to get him a 3-4 year contract. We’ll wind up with a Mata situation, only worse.

Pulisic at least is 24 with only 1 year left on his contract. They’ll have to sell him for a reasonable fee or lose him for free. And if he doesn’t workout, you can ship him out in a couple of year and recoup your expenditure.

It does not matter if Pulisic only has 1 year left to his contract at 24 years of age. He's just plain shite and overrated by American media.

We don’t consume American media here, pal. Shit Pulisic was still deemed a better player by Chelsea’s last two managers. I’m sure they must have also been basing it on the American media hype about how good he was.
