Deeper than a LB?Is he a backup to Fernandez or plays deeper nowdays?
No, Brentford squeezed every last drop out of him.
He had a great season at Inter when the won the title, which was just before the Euro's where he was in decent form too before that incident. He looked fit enough to play in the PL when I saw him and his dead ball skills are still fantastic. IMO he'd be an upgrade on Mata and see him in a similar position / position in coming off the bench and starting someReminds me of Schweinsteiger. Is Eriksen still good enough to be of value to Utd?
Been sceptical and remain a bit torn on this. On the one hand I'm not super happy that we're signing past-peak veterans, and also it isn't immediately apparent to me why we sign him and exactly what problem he is supposed to solve (although I'm alive to the possibility that's just me not getting it). On the other hand, he is a very good player, who showed at Brentford last season he can still have an impact, if there's a good plan for how to use him. And let's face it, we're not going to have the funds to get everything we need the costly way.
Huh? Have you forgotten Pogba already? Can understand people being frustrated with him but he's clearly one of the best passers of the ball on the planet. When was the last time we had a centre mid who could pass the ball like that? Too long ago.
Bruno can pull off the same, but Eriksen is far more consistent and accurate.
I wasn't trying to be facetious, Bruno didn't cross my mind because he plays much further up the pitch normally. So if we sign FDJ I would not expect Bruno to play as part of a midfield 3 for example.Come on! Bruno is about as creative as they come. 39 assists for us in 2,5 seasons is on par with Beckhams numbers + he scores more goals.
No reason he can't have an Indian summer à laScholesGlaston here.
Don't PTSD us pleaseHuh? Have you forgotten Pogba already? Can understand people being frustrated with him but he's clearly one of the best passers of the ball on the planet.
Eriksion(ie), courtesy of @tenpolessBig question is what is his Ole-ised nickname going to be.
Eriksenie? Eriky? Chrissy?
Eriksy or Riksy prollyBig question is what is his Ole-ised nickname going to be.
Eriksenie? Eriky? Chrissy?
At least he left to join one of the biggest clubs in the world and not for oil money or, god forbid, Fulscum
He is such a classy player and I am convinced he is much better than those people who are underwhelmed by United signing think and will do well.
He’s certainly finding ways to hate everything isn’t heIt’s ridiculous isn’t it bet keefy is gutted we have positivity he hates it
Definitely ChrissyBig question is what is his Ole-ised nickname going to be.

Give it a restI didnt see him play much for Kew FC, how did he do whilst he was there?
Think the problems he solves are fairly self evident in that he's here to bring additional creativity, control and aptidute for ETH's possession heavy football to our midfield, the lack of which is certainly a problem in our team as it stands right now.
I'm just not sure where he'll be doing that from. As #10? A #8? Left in a 4-2-3-1? No idea. But as long as the manager has a clear idea in mind, that's fine.
No me either to be honestHe's really come to the fore this summer. Never noticed the user beforehand.

His name literally means son of Erik. It doesn't just sound like son, it is son(or sen).
Give it a rest
I don't believe he does start often, however he is better footballer than Fred and Mctominay, and we have just lost Lingard, Pogba, Matic and Mata so there is a lot of midfield squad members that need replacing. Strength in depth it's what all the top teams have. This is a shrewd signing, however I also believe a 3 year deal is a touch generous unless his wages are low.I get that people are happy things are finally moving on the transfer front but this is such a strange signing. Really can’t see where he fits as a starter. He isn’t going to partner De Jong in a two, he isn’t going to play ahead of Bruno as a 10 and I don’t think he has the legs to play wide any more. Feels like another VDB.
Don't think that's possible, he's not baldHe is literally the son of the new manager I believe.
