Happy with this signing. He’s obviously a very good player who is vastly superior to our other midfield options with the exception of Bruno.
If ETH thinks they can both play in his system then great but if they can’t this is the kind of competition Bruno needs. We can either drop him when his form goes or this will be the kick up the arse he needs to find more consistency.

This transfer reads like a movie script that would get canned because it was unrealistic. Great player suffers massive Cardiac arrest on the pitch, extremely high likelihood that he will never run again let alone play top level football, makes it back and helps keep a recently promoted team in the Premier league, before joining one of the biggest teams in the world, having obviously made a full recovery with no signs that he cannot perform at a high level. Its borderline miraculous, and if you can't get excited about this then I have to question the lack of a soul in you.

Conte gave Eriksen plenty of chances but the truth is he was a massive let down.
It might start to look bad when we're paying a 33 year old Christian Eriksen £150k a week but for the foreseeable future at least I agree that it's a really good pick up. I'm not sure what the composition of our best midfield will be but we need more good players and he definitely is one.
This will be the third player (I consider de Jong and Malacia formalities at this point) who is excellent on the ball and very comfortable with the ball at his feet. Love it.

He's come here as a squad player anyways. He will be rotated and give us an excellent option to rest Bruno and/or plug him next to FDJ
Genuinely don't. The other two were past it whilst eirksen still has a lot to give. What does his accident have to do with anything? He's fit to play and bossed the league last season so why even bring it up?
He apparently covered 11.7km against Totenham earlier this season. He used to regularly top the most distance run figures over a season while at Totenham.

If there's one thing I trust ten Hag in is to have a clear idea of how he wants to use his signings and in what set ups. Doesn't strike me as a magpie manager at all.
