I was being tongue in cheek about Ronaldo mateWhy do you think that?
That makes more sense
Back to being mind blown then. Cant believe he's 6ft.
He'd been on vacation until recently. There were plenty of acceptable reasons to renew with Brentford (not all footballing reasons). For all we know we only offered 2 years, but he said he wanted 3 years if he was going to move his family up from London. And then maybe we relented to his demand this week as we want him in before the tour on Friday. What took him so long to decide between Brentford and Man Utd?
Yeah, and also the funny Eriksen pun game. And the imaginary lineup game. So much to do, so much to do.Not difficult with all the fun-sponges on here. Why can’t people be more positive and join in with the ‘guess what number he’ll be’ game?
That’s exactly my thought too. Hope we get it right.
Totally disagree, this is an exciting, sensible signing for us. If we get FDJ in as well, then we suddenly have a decent midfield for the first time in what feels like forever. While being far from exciting, it's a sensible deal. Replaces Mata and Lingard, gives us options at 8 and 10, experienced international level player who will buy into and reinforce the new culture change. All for free (plus wages).
Still, it's not sitting well with me that our first two signings are at left back and attacking midfield which are well down the list of priorities for upgrade. Nothing is quite making sense to me at the moment.
Who is the other one?Great signing if it goes through. We now have 2 creative midfielders with great workrate.
Need to get Fred out of there asap
Just watched that highlight real, although he is predominantly right footed, he's got a real sweet left foot pass on him. When was the last time we had a centre mid who could pass the ball like that? Too long ago.
Bruno can pull off the same, but Eriksen is far more consistent and accurate.

I know this has been done to death, but in no way is De Jong and Eriksen a complete midfield - who else is in there? Are you suggesting they play in a two? Or that Eriksen plays further forward instead of Bruno, in which case it's arguable it's an upgrade at all, albeit it's another option.Totally disagree, this is an exciting, sensible signing for us. Fred - FDJ - Eriksen is doable in a lot of games.I know this has been done to death, but in no way is De Jong and Eriksen a complete midfield - who else is in there? And likes Scholes, I'm wondering if we're expecting him to play a deeper role like Scholes did in his 30s.No reason he can't have an Indian summer à la Scholes here.
At least he left to join one of the biggest clubs in the world and not for oil money or, god forbid, Fulscum
He is such a classy player and I am convinced he is much better than those people who are underwhelmed by United signing think and will do well.
Yes finally!!The thought just struck me and perhaps someone else has already said this but....WE WILL HAVE SOMEONE WHO CAN TAKE A CORNER KICK!!!!!

No, Brentford squeezed every last drop out of him.Reminds me of Schweinsteiger. Is Eriksen still good enough to be of value to Utd?
Nope, but I would happily stick Fred in with those 2. ETH uses a 4-3-3 formation. Then we also know that he likes his centre backs to step into midfield. The problem we had before was that we had McFred and then basically no one. McFred is a nothing midfield.I know this has been done to death, but in no way is De Jong and Eriksen a complete midfield - who else is in there? Are you suggesting they play in a two? Come on! Bruno is about as creative as they come. 39 assists for us in 2,5 seasons is on par with Beckhams numbers + he scores more goals.Who is the other one?
