Most comedy films are winding down into schmaltzy·nothingness in the final act but this comedy is funny til the end, going out with a bang. I love Chris Morris, love most things he has done, with the exception of Nathan Barley which I hated. I hope he is working on a few new things.
Edit. Start at his most famous series - Brass eye, If you don't like the first episode, stop watching. If you liked Four Lions and like v dark humour you will probably really like Brass eye, which you can get on 4od.
I thought the ending was very dark... four lads...mostly clueless gave up their lives for nothing, there was no blaze of glory...just a group of confused individuals who were caught up in something that was way beyond them. I thought Waj's scene in the Kebabish was particularly sombre, sure it was also hilarious...but overall I thought it was haunting and poignant, because he appeared to be the most mixed up - he literally didn't know what he was doing, blowing up Muslims after a nice naan and kobidah?! he was the retard who was disgustingly manipulated - like most suicide bombers, I guess.
True, but still hilarious. "feckin' Boy George."
I just found out that Waj is the Fonejacker - am I the only one not to know this?
You've got your confused face on haven't you?

I didn't know this!
Richard E. Grant is just Cantona-level majestic here --That was why I mentioned Withnail, actually. The same downbeat final act. Very rare to get comedies which make you laugh so much whilst also being full of pathos.
