Chris Morris' Four Lions

I really hope it's good. But being Chris Morris, even if it isn't, he'll have hordes of sycophantic cnuts saying things like 'It's so good, you probably won't get it'. The same people who convinced themselves that because he attached himself to the IT Crowd, that it was somehow a brilliant comedy.

Steady on... who says brilliant comedy?

It's tolerable and has its moments... and Morris and the bloke who plays his son are absolutely brilliant :)

Just started rewatching Nathan Barley... had so many more good moments than I thought... and I only just realised that there's a bit where Charlie Brooker interviews Jonatton Yeah?

Ace.

Yep. All mine have been desptached too.

Anyone wanna buy a copy for £10? (joke)

How many did you get?! Did you stumble upon this yourself by the way or did you read it elsewhere? I let a few people know but within minutes of me buying a copy, it had been removed from sale.

Hehe. I only got 2 mate, one for me and my mate wanting one picking up.

I'm not one of these sad acts that buys 20 copies and sticks em all on ebay to make a gross profit of £20 after tax and shipping.

I can barely be arsed to get out of bed most days, never mind do that.

You selfish bastard! The deal was taken down just as I tried to order one.

 - sounds like it coulda been a line in the film

Mine turned up this morning - in a nice hardback book style case. It wasn't shipped directly from Amazon but from Indigo Starfish, whoever they are.

It's funny and clever, just as you'd expect from Chris Morris. But there's still something missing for me, maybe I just expected too much from it.

Ridiculously funny movie...

just watched the DVD. Instant classic!

The problem is obviously you. You've clearly been quadrospazzed on a life-glug recently.

Bruv rubber dinghy rapids thats all I'm saying, quality film.

Never said it wasn't. 'Funny and clever' hardly means I don't think it's good.

I wasn't implying you didn't:p, I just wanted to have a post with the phrase rubber dinghy rapids in it, and lo and behold I have two now.

The deleted scenes are pretty good:

The first is an extended version of the opening scene.

The second one is another scene in the Pakistan terrorist camp and they explain that Bin Laden often visits the Arab camp - something that could have done with explanation in the film itself as they only mention it in the bazooka scene. Some good dialogue by Waj about legs with "no top half" meeting and greeting women in paradise.

The third one is a scene with Barry, Hassan and Fessal in Fessal's ouse discussing "The Tupac of terrorism", Osama Bin Laden and how he "didn't it". The "bean up the nob" line from later on in the film is given a backstory.

The fourth scene takes place in the back of the van where Barry expresses his fears that the costumes may be haraam as they could be defined as "floppy statues".

The fifth scene shows what happens after they abandon the car and are on their way to the alotment with the explosives. A gang of youths pick a fight with the wrong people.

The sixth shows Barry, Hasan and Waj at a makeshift training camp by a river.

The seventh and final scene is the full version of Fessal's video, filmed with a box over his head.

He is indeed.. also is it me or does he look abit like that guy who used to be in Spooks.

Sweet find ;)I wasn't aware of a cameo appearance, but I meant Raza Jaffrey though (series regular).. comparing him to himself would be pointless.

Just finished watching it. Quality film, the jalfrezi line had me in tears.
