I’d argue a hat trick of own goals would be considerable as less than nothing.
I mean let's be honest, that would be genuinely impressive - and display a keen eye for goal!

I think it’s sink or swim time for a few of these lads. I know in an ideal world we’d nurture and develop their talent over the course of the next few years but our situation is so dire I don’t think we can afford to do that. Now there’s always a risk of throwing academy lads into a struggling team and leaving their confidence shot, sometimes never really recovering from it but this squads in such a shambles we might not have any other choice.
Our hands were tied in the market which prevented us from bringing anybody in other than a LWB, it’s clear the current squad isn’t good enough and with more injuries piling up it’s only getting worse. The only way we can inject a bit of quality into this squad now is by turning to the academy, that’s where we’re at currently. It’s that old saying if you’re good enough, you’re old enough, well time to see what you’re all about lads.
He could definitely offer less, he’s never played a single minute of senior football and he’s a child.
In our 6 matches before palace we won 4, drew with Liverpool at Anfield and lost 1.
The league season is already gone at this point. I think we can do without potentially ruining the confidence of a record breaking youth player.
Both look good at this level but Biancheri is injured. Now it's Chido's time, Biancheri's time will comeAs exciting as he is I'm not sure he's looked better than Biancheri

Is this just a case of desperation from posters asking for him to be introduced? I’ve seen people say he’s got a terrible first touch, his all round game is rough…it sounds like he’d get eaten alive in the first team.
Sure, the Højlund experiment went so well. lets ruin another young danish talent while we are at it.
Big difference between giving a young lad a cameo here and there and asking another one to be first choice for the next few years.
Nobody is advocating the latter for Obi Martin.
The fans need something in what is a terrible season. A young lad making the odd appearance here or there, maybe getting tje odd goal, would be a bit of spark at least.
I don’t think Hojlund had as much potential, he was released from Bodo in his teenage years.Sure, the Højlund experiment went so well. lets ruin another young danish talent while we are at it.
Arsenal released Kane, I'm not sure this means muchI don’t think Hojlund had as much potential, he was released from Bodo in his teenage years.
You mean like Barca played Ansu Fati and ruined him?Play him last 20 mins against Leicester see how he does. Other teams play 17 year olds
It would secure his place in the team until June at the least.I mean let's be honest, that would be genuinely impressive - and display a keen eye for goal!
Match going fans don't think like that. Not generally anyway.I theory I agree, but given how our fans think they will expect Chido to light the stadium on fire and he is not at that stage yet. He is very very raw.
Kane was pretty shite until his early 20’s. I remember the guys who make Chanpionship manager had to apologise to him because he was so shit on the game for years, then Tottenham threw him in out of desperation.Arsenal released Kane, I'm not sure this means much

Absolutely. We should wait until we're NOT a total mess before we bring him in. Although I'm not sure how effective he'll be as a 52 year old.You mean like Barca played Ansu Fati and ruined him?
I dont know if I want any young talent brought into this total mess we currently have
As for "play him last 20 minutes" - unless we are winning 3-0 against Leicester by 70th (very unlikely) why do you think it is a good idea to put the pressure of turning a game around or seeing slim win through, on the shoulders of a 17yo?
There is no perfect integration. The kid will have to go out eventually, sometimes in harsh environment. He and Heaven, since Licha is out. Toby got in, had his minutes, had his starter, and life went on.Absolutely. We should wait until we're NOT a total mess before we bring him in. I wasn't being entirely serious there cirilus but yes, I agree with you. There is no perfect integration. The kid will have to go out eventually, sometimes in harsh environment. He and Heaven, since Licha is out. Toby got in, had his minutes, had his starter, and life went on.
Right now, team is training as pros, no issues on effort or behaviour (yes, some guys running down the contract, happens all the time), so there is no reason for him not to train and score some benches.

It definitely would be, but I think it was just an offered apology. Found an article actually, from 2016: https://www.sportsjoe.ie/football/f...d-to-harry-kane-for-getting-stats-wrong-58093Would be the most Harry Kane thing I've heard if he demanded an apology
Haha!Absolutely. We should wait until we're NOT a total mess before we bring him in. Although I'm not sure how effective he'll be as a 52 year old.
Gee, sorry, not personal on your comment, my argument was aimed at the conversation.I wasn't being entirely serious there cirilus but yes, I agree with you.
I know what you mean, and we might well end up having to risk him this soon. There is no perfect integration. The kid will have to go out eventually, sometimes in harsh environment. He and Heaven, since Licha is out. Toby got in, had his minutes, had his starter, and life went on.

I agree.I reckon he'll make the bench soon
there's no harm in throwing him on for 10 minutes here and there, and it's not like we have many options
He’s training with the 1st team this morning apparently
I dread to think what would happen to the lads confidence if he made a first team appearance and failed (because he will, barely played for the U21s he isn’t ready yet, like most things we need more patience)
Confidence would probably be through the roof from making his debut.I dread to think what would happen to the lads confidence if he made a first team appearance and failed (because he will, barely played for the U21s he isn’t ready yet, like most things we need more patience)
Then crushed because he’s brought crashing down to earth?Confidence would probably be through the roof from making his debut.
