He's a bit odd, isn't he?
He certainly is, I feel like a lot of the big managers bar maybe Zidane and Ancelotti are quite weird? Must be the stress.
He's a bit odd, isn't he?
Watches it live and it made me laugh. You seem to be missing a chromosome or something.Nutter. Overdid it with the fake laughter just a bit.
I think it's the case of you wanting to see something that isn't there. Fake laughter? I saw him laugh before, there's nothing fake about it.
Costa is fecked now. Released a statement today indicating that he is losing his patience with athletics.![]()
Think it's a pretty calculated response, probably spent all week planning it. You can tell how annoyed he is by the whole situation, it's a large part of the reason why the beginning of their season has been rocky. He's a strange bloke, comes across as somewhat unhinged to me.
What did he say?

Conte was asked about Costa's remarks in the presser.
Who is the guy next to him?
They can buy him, right? They just can't register and play him. Costa seems happy to be paid for doing nothing for a few months while Atletico Madrid are understandably less than thrilled at shelling out big bucks for someone who will only contribute for half the season. So Costa doesn't want to return to Chelsea because he wants to go to a club that cannot even buy him for the next 4 months? I'm baffled.
This is total nonsense. Mourinho was building a team around Oscar and Fabregas as the key ingredients and the first thing Conte did was cleanse the starting 11 of that ideology and those players. Mourinho could never in a million years make David Luiz play like he did last season. Then there is Moses who if put on the field under Mourinho would give him nosebleeds.
As for being arrogant, it is a good thing. In football management you are either Arrogant or unsuccessful so its not a big issue for most fans.
What a cluster feck the Costa situation is.
I think Chelsea and Conte especially have gone about this the completely wrong way. The manager telling a player firstly by text he's not going to play again, then in a press conference 'he's in the past' won't make them stand out well when battling with other teams for transfers in the future.
I'm not saying Costa is in the right here either, he's wanted a move back to Atheltico Madrid since the summer after he moved to Chelsea and angled for it since.
It's a great situation for everyone to laugh about, bad situation if you're a Chelsea fan.
Conte also applauded Pochettino in his press conference about his handling of youth and he'd like to do the same but he's just lost Solanke to Liverpool and loaned out Loftus-Cheek, Zouma and Abraham, so he's doing the complete opposite.
I agree I don't think he has much say with transfers, same when Jose was there and that's what led to the poor second season as Abramovich didn't get the targets he wanted, no manager can work like that. The thing is though its actually not from our perspectuive.
In terms of transfers I don't think Conte really has much of a say unfortunately. He gives a list of targets but that's about it really.
Also the Costa situation has been handled fine by Conte, costa knew for 5 months straight that was his last season at Chelsea as conte has said multiple times he told him in january. Conte then confirmed (what he already knew) by text and costa made out like it was the first time he's heard of it after agitating for a move constantly?
He then proceeded to lie about being close to a contract extension when its since been confirmed he requested a move 3 times during the season including the first time he ever spoke to conte.
Costa is in the wrong here and I would rather see the club lose out financially than them cave in to his ridiculous demands.
Steve Atkins (Chelsea's head of communications).
How is it a bad situation for Chelsea fans. The club have secured a decent replacement and not its hilarious to watch Costa implode. There is no situation in which Costa comes out a winner (he will for sure lose his spot in Spain WC squad and probably the last two seasons of his career given he is almost 29) in this and Chelsea will at best lose out on what? £40m on his transfer fees.I think Chelsea and Conte especially have gone about this the completely wrong way. The manager telling a player firstly by text he's not going to play again, then in a press conference 'he's in the past' won't make them stand out well when battling with other teams for transfers in the future.

Yeah Mourinho was trying to create a family like happy atmosphere and the players fecked him over. After his Read debacle he wanted a job with some harmony, to bad it was the right intention but at the wrong club. United are at this moment the right club for that sort of project. That said, Mourinho's ideas are a bit dated now and the new managers coming along are more often than not going to get better of him.Well some of the players very much did throw Mourinho under the bus, so what he was building was burnt with some of those catastrophic performances that were putting chelsea in a relegation dog fight. Even by anyone's standards, the complete giving up of the season was some fall even by Mourinho's standards, don't think he expected that kind of fall. Hopefully their loss is united's gain
The sarcasm by the reporter saying "Are you in touch with him?"What was so funny about that question?
Fake laugh was cringeworthy.
What's fake about it? That's just the way he laughs:
Also, can I just say that it's mind boggling to me that people are siding with Costa here.
"I want to leave"
"No"
"I want to leave"
"No"
"I want to leave"
"Ok fine"
"HELP I'M BEING OPPRESSED WHERE'S MY LAWYER"
He was an essential part of your title win and he got a fecking text saying he wasn't needed. Didn't even have the balls to say it to his face. It was cowardly and ridiculous. He now wants to leave and is willing to not get paid for it (which tells you how badly he wants to get the feck out of there) yet the club is calling him back after they texted him he wasn't needed. All because his replacement didn't hit the ground running and they need depth.
I usually can't fecking stand Costa, can't wait to see him feck off but Chelsea look like a bunch of cocks here too.
