Just shows Woodward & Moyes weren't as clueless as we thought last summer, just a year ahead of their time. If it's true we (LVG) definitely didn't want him then I trust that we've got alternatives lined up.

I'm struggling to see how he fits into a mourinho team.
Fabregas seems to do best with freedom, Mourinho is the ultimate anal-retentive manager, seems a terrible match to me.

Fantastic signing and thoroughly what they have needed for a good few years now. Matic, Ramires and Fabregas is a very good trio for a full midfield three in this league.
Mourinho is building a cracking side, making all the right, and leftfield, choices. And it's for this reason I can't be annoyed by this, as the big hope is that Van Gaal does the same. If he didn't want Cesc for his system then so be it. This is all part and parcel of having a manager with brains and an actual plan.
