UEFA hands out penalties, after Juventus must pay Chelsea too!

Just signed another defender from Monaco who I've never heard of for £38.5m. The last one turned out to be mightily impressive mind.
Colwill off then?
Nah, this new chap is a right footer. He's Fofanas replacement.
Colwill off then?
What's the pecking order for LCB, Silva....Badashile (don't think his injury is anything like Fofana so he'll be available in the season soon enough)....Colwill.....Boulaharouz.....Del Horno.......Cucerella?
Going to be fascinating how Poch manages the squad and how long it takes him to lock down a solid first 11. Silva 39 soon but his fitness has never been a problem at all since he came to premier league and been managing 3 games a week fine in later parts of season so can't see it suddenly being an issue now with Chelsea just playing once a week.
it's like porn for me as well, considering what our last two managers were like .. and all the players properly paying attentionWatching Poch give team talks at the quarter mark must be like porn to our newest Chelsea fan on here.
I felt like I was the only one asking this question. Santos is going to be great. Physically he has a slightly different skill set than Caicedo though. This Santos kid is legit. Do we even need Caicedo?

I think santos will cope with physical demands. He is technically sound and calm in possession. Even we sign caicedo santos will get significant time in my opinion.Superb prospect but he needs the time and space to develop. He shouldn't be a starter this season. Caicedo meanwhile was one of the best DMs in Europe last season. I think his impact (should he sign) could be Kante-esque. Part of the reason Brighton are holding out for 100m is simply that they know just how amazing he is.

Apparently looking mch fitter in pre-season. Poch implementing the 'box midfield' that guardiola and arteta use.
Santos, chukwuemeka both will stay in my opinion. Jackson more or less confirmed his starting berth when season started. Maatsen impressed me with his pace, control of the ball and passing. Have that defender s tenacity as well. For me the front six will be going by preseason form,

Wow Maatsen going straight in for Liverpool, didn't he play more as a full back for Burnley?

So which Saudi club are you farming Sterling off to within the next 6 months?
He is always evolving. Probably the most proactive manager in football. When he went to psg from spurs, he had to involved in order to accommodate the players he had. The poster claiming that he is using the box structure that arteta and pep was using doesn't realize that such a system isnt new to Pochettino. Pochettino already implemented that philosophy at psg and is akin to something that is being transferred to this chelsea team, but with players who are better suited to it.Very happy to see he's evolving as a coach.
In the immediate future my main concern was whether he'd be stubbornly sticking to what worked for him before (ala Wenger) but he appears very open to change judging by pre season.
I m always wised up and the key word is "Looking". Chelsea players have the right attitude and energy(fitness) right now, which most top teams has and wasn't there for a long time that even one of their players said he doesn't recognize that chelsea team anymore. There is no way that when competitive games start, these players will change completely from what the audience is seeing in pre season. Things will be more competitive and i expect a few loses but the performance will be different from the past few season even if they lose.Transformed Chelsea to a top team?
Wise up.
They haven’t even played a competitive game yet.

Regardless, I m not surprised how quickly he has transformed chelsea and made them looking like a top team. Even when they won the champion league, they didn't look this good. One of the few thing lacking right now is player recruitment. Caicedo is a must if they are to be competitive. So is someone like kudas or olise for the right attacking midfield role. Moreover, a quality modern keeper. Then if they want quality depth, they need a backup number ten like cherki, a backup number 6 (if Ugo doesn't cut it) and someone like vlahovic or wahi (if Borja doesn't cut it).
So the squad still has many holes. However, Pochettino is covering those holes because the youngster like Santos, carni, angelo, caesedi, maatsen, hall, and so on are performing well under him so far. These players are still far from being world class and need experience. If chelsea fan and owners are willing to risk immediate success for their development, then it would be a good idea for Pochettino to continue players these kids and forgo some of the depth they need in their squad.
They will be in the running for a champions league spot in probably the toughest PL season for CL spots so far.I m always wised up and the key word is "Looking". It's his first season FfsOn paper Chelsea have the second best squad in the league so no excuses for Poch.

I ddnt know that. Thanks. Not toughest then.Toughest? No. Not when there is 5 spots available instead of 4.
