They still need to play the qualification games for the Conference League, right? What are the chances they bomb those too to get out of Thursday night football duties.

There's been rumours we won't even bother with it at all and just tell UEFA that we're not interested, like AC Milan did a few years ago.

It will be good for these inexperienced players. A chance to own every European trophy.
@duffer what’s your thoughts on Ben Jacobs? Feels to me like he’s been hired to specifically spin positive PR about Chelsea and basically be a mouthpiece for them. Seems like a bit of a hack.
He's definitely at the very least given access because of reporting.
He's good for a Chelsea fan in regards to transfer news but absolutely not if you want any sort of balanced reporting.

When Boehly was the frontman for buying the team Jacobs was getting everything directly from Boehly. Everything he was writing, he was the most itk person regarding the deal. Boehly and Jacobs have maintained that relationship since. If Jacobs has inside information about Chelsea, it is coming from Boehly. There is a problem with that now. It seems Boehly and Eghbali have not been really acting as one voice about the club. Eghbali has more control.

Interesting, cheers! I always find it a bit weird when a journalist is happy to just essentially become a voice for a club/person. He’s also first to spin anything positively for Chelsea (immediately came out saying Chelsea backed out of Olise when it seemed like he just turned them down). It’s a bit much.
