I personally don't care at all. If it were a PL title I'd probably think differently like back in 13/14, but the CL? I can't say I'm too bothered. I suppose the fact that I've got things to worry about in life also contributes, too.
Being favorites when you've done nothing of note recently in Europe makes zero sense. If you choose to believe what media/bookie blindly like that then I suppose there is no convincing you. This is exactly the same when PSG was touted as a favorite too whereas they've done feck all in recent years too.The fact is that they were second favourites at the start of the season. Another fact is that they have better squad. Now we agree to disagree and move on. You keep your grief regarding Pools progress while I keep enjoying the fact that City are out of it and so will be Pool.
In terms of probabilities you're absolutely right but teams as average as Liverpool did manage to make miracles before. We'll see what happens, I pray to God you're right, I've been poisoned enough on social media this morning. And I thought we could win the final in ‘11.
Anything can happen, sure, but on the balance of probabilities Pool besting Madrid/Bayern is far from likely. Even in a romp like last night they let in 2 goals that made a dead and buried tie become slightly possible for Roma again. In a cup final, I’d put far more trust in the defensively superior team to come through, let alone the fact that both Madrid and Bayern have extremely skilful attackers themselves as well. Marcelo for example would have a field day against Pool’s defenders.
Went to stick 20 quid on them to win it as an insurance bet. Couldn't believe it when I saw they were the favourites, not much point now.
If Ronaldo beats Liverpool in the final I will close the Ronaldo v Messi thread and officially declare him the caf's GOAT. Any dissenters will be instabanned.
End of.
Can't see how anybody could argue with that course of action.
Hardly a surprise considering they're already in the final while Real/Bayern still have hurdles they need to overcome. You'll get much better odds when their opponent is confirmed. Think they'll come in about par with Bayern whilst being underdogs vs Real.
Nope. City/Pep would have tried to play the ball through the condensed six man Roma midfield. Liverpool destroyed Roma´s tactics (which worked for 20 minutes) by starting to move the ball over the top. That´s beneath Pep. Plus Sterling, Sane and Jesus don´t even live on the same planet as Firmino when it comes to physical strength, holding up/winning long balls and then distributing them through the channels.

I bet you're the sort of person who wouldn't give Roma a chance if they had lost 2-0.Roma do have a chance still. 2 away goals. Could still score 3 in the return leg. Of course, Liverpool are favorites but the tie isn't completely dead.
Get off your high horseIf your neighbour wins the lottery are you happy for him or sick with jealousy and hope something bad befalls him?
I guess depending on how you answer, sums up the type of person you are.
We’ll win the FA Cup and they’ll be put to the sword by a top team in the final, and all of a sudden they’ve gone a 6th season in a row cupless looking up at us yet again. Then all you pansies can rest easy.
Why bother watching the first leg? Every man and his dog knew they’d win at AnfieldLast night was depressing viewing, slight bit of hope at the end with the two Roma goals, but I reckon Liverpool could win over there and Salah will likely score. Had it finished 5-0 I wouldn't even have bothered watching the second leg, to be honest.
Here’s a funny question - would you rather they don’t win the CL and we don’t win the FA Cup, or we win the Cup and they also win the CL?
The former 100 percent. Here’s a funny question - would you rather they don’t win the CL and we don’t win the FA Cup, or we win the Cup and they also win the CL?
The weird thing is how easily some teams have stopped them in the league. I’d put my faith in Bayern or Real to have some tactical awareness and not to play into their hands. Even if it was us playing them in the final I’d be extremely confident. This is how I want to feel, and how I usually do, but something about this run of theirs just has me feeling uneasy.
Honestly it's all down to Salah, take him out and I'm not even slightly worried, but that's the difference a single player can make to a team.

Real are very much a changed side now Ronaldo has woken up.That's it, as long as they do that. But if Real play against them like they did say Spurs earlier in the competition, Liverpool will thrash them.
You need teams to show enough respect to change how they play to a certain extent, otherwise its all too easy for that front three.
Going in circles, just to sum it up: firstly, City have better squad and players individually. Secondly, as of late they have been better in Europe. Thirdly and finally, nobody knows the future but we are both sure we are right. City are out of CL already and Pool are almost in the final. Despite this, I bet that scousers will not win it this season. If there is any Pool fan here that sure that they have a good chance than they can bet on them. The loser of the bet fecks off from the CAF. No poster will take this bet though.Being favorites when you've done nothing of note recently in Europe makes zero sense. If you choose to believe what media/bookie blindly like that then I suppose there is no convincing you. I would absolutely take neither team winning a trophy. A second rate cup isn’t worth them having TWICE as many European cups as we do, not to mention moving into third in the number of clubs with European titles, behind only Milan and Madrid. That is a sickening thought, for them to be part of that top 3.
I would rather lose the Cup final then watch them lift the CL....Ofcourse it would be great to end the season with the Cup,but it wouldn't be a catastrophe if we lost.We won the Cup just 2 years ago,we won 2 trophies last season,we could finish 2nd this season and we"ll definitely be in the hunt for more silverware next season. Here’s a funny question - would you rather they don’t win the CL and we don’t win the FA Cup, or we win the Cup and they also win the CL?
Some of them might even be deciding if they want to use their thumb, index, pinkie or the dreaded middle finger on the other hand to show number 6
All good points, City has a better squad but to go from there to be a genuine favorite, it's another step. fecking Liverpool, they shouldn't be even close to winning the CL.Going in circles, just to sum it up: firstly, City have better squad and players individually. Once Liverpool are done winning the CL, the mods have to take a look at this thread and whoever cheered Liverpool needs to be banned from the RAWK goes in to Meltdown thread so that they don't spoil the fun for the rest of the normal folks around here.
I hate Pool with passion. And the mere fact that they have done this far deep into CL makes my blood boil even more due to the fact that they have achieved this with their paper-thin squad. In fact all top teams in Europe are under transition/decline this season, so it was a perfect opportunity for Utd to nick it. We made a massive feck up of our tie against Sevilla. All good points, City has a better squad but to go from there to be a genuine favorite, it's another step. fecking Liverpool, they shouldn't be even close to winning the CL.
Here’s the thing, the closer they get and let’s face it they are now in the final, the closer they get to having won it 6 times. Call yourself a united fan ffs.Going in circles, just to sum it up: firstly, City have better squad and players individually. Secondly, as of late they have been better in Europe. No shit, Sherlock. Read the whole context ffs before ffs'ing. Now, before you "ffs" next time and question how much of a fan I am from your high pony, here is the hint. The whole debate was about City or Pool. I said I'd prefer Pool , as they are more likely to fail in the final. Now, here's the main thing. It would be great to have United there instead of Pool but we fecked up. We should have done better when it mattered, instead of dreading Pool's win. Here’s the thing, the closer they get and let’s face it they are now in the final, the closer they get to having won it 6 times. If the scousers win there is a great cull coming

Here’s the logic
We’d rather city get put out because they have pep&money
Or we’d rather Liverpool get put out because they are our arch enemies and on the verge of winning number 6, double our loot
I really don’t get the logic of people like you who’d rather Liverpool get to a final because they’re sure to be beaten then. That’s the gist of it right? Because that warped thinking is how it reads to everyone else
Going in one more circle before I quit: if City got past Pool, I'd think that they have more chances of winning the whole thing. The reasons are their players, their manager, the depth of the squad. On other hand we have Pool, who are brilliant at the moment but play with a certain style and are hugely dependent on Salah. Also their squad depth is paper thin and they have difficulties with teams which are patient enough to do defending properly and can switch to counter-attack in a blink of an eye. So yes, I believe that chances of Pool of winning the whole thing are much less than if it were City in their place. Here’s the logic
