When Klopp messes up the final, as is Klopp’s way, I am going to have to go ahead and demand that you bend the knee.
Klopps from the Potchettino finishing school. He’ll most likely come unstuck against Bayern and most definitely Madrid. They’ve got the kind of players that can manage a game on their own and not defend like Roma who looked like they hadn’t done any homework on Liverpool before the game.

Uh no. This Madrid team if they reach final is within reach of become legendary like the old Madrid winning 3 consecutive European cups. Nowadays it is more difficult so they may be considered the greatest feat in history of club football. I doubt anyone who go that far suddenly being down beat in the final. Not Ronnie surely.
Hadn't thought about that actually!

Whu would anyone cheer on Liverpool? I can't even handle my Egyptians fellows because of Salah. My God. Hope any one from Bayern or Real can end this shit.

Roma were so naive tonight. What were they thinking playing such a high line. Talk about playing into the opponent's hands. Just do the classic Italian thing, defend deep, soak up the pressure and hit them with a couple of sucker punch goals. Jose has shown how to nullify / beat this Liverpool team so just follow that blueprint. Infuriating

Teams are underestimating Liverpool and how potent their front three are. If Real or Bayern do that in the final then god help us all!

Nightmare, don't believe Roma can turn it around, especially after that shambles of tactics tonight. Whoever comes in the final they will have a great chance.

Jose for all the slack he gets here looks to be the only one who knows how to contain them.

A shame they didn't get the 3rd goal. They beat Chelsea by 3 too, but Liverpool is simply just a better team.

Think everyone expected them having to beat 2 out of Madrid/Bayern/Barca to win it. This Roma draw is really annoying as they are so clearly a level below what is to be expected at this stage of the competition.

Now what stands in the way is a final against either Bayern or Real Madrid. Both will of course be favourites to win, but unfortunately the final is just a single game which makes an upset more likely than over 2 legs.

I simply don't trust Bayern or Real's defence to hold up in a one off match.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. At some point he will win a major final just by sheer probabilities

This sounds like something somebody would say after the #243 in the world fights himself into a French Open final over Djokovic, Federer, Zverev and Dimtriov then gets destroyed by Nadal 1, 0 and 2. See I told you all he was fecking overrated.

This Bayern team under Heynckes are a ruthlessly disciplined outfit and I'm confident that they will handle Liverpool. It could swing either way against Real with their style of play.

For me Bayern have looked the most likely winner of this years CL from the outset.

Thought they looked not so good against Sevilla at home last time around (0-0) - I think Real Madrid will be a too big mouthful for them.

It's bizarre how so many teams just open up against them. Liverpool's biggest strength is that they can kill a tie in 10 or 15 minutes with goals in quick succession. Fortunately, their biggest weakness is that they're also prone to letting in goals in quick succession. Stifle their attack and you still take advantage of their weakness at the back. Let them get 2 or 3 up and you're fighting a huge uphill battle.

Their strength is what worries me so much should they make the final, as you'd expect they will from the position they're in. If they catch either Real or Bayern slightly off-guard for 10 minutes, they could have a 2 or 3 goal lead.

Klopp is far better than Poch it's not even a contest. He had actually won something in his career and this will be his second CL final while Poch is failing to get to any meaningful thing with a very good team. Klopp is a finals bottler, but Poch is an any important game bottler.

Those 2 goals could come back to bite the tramps arse, and don't forget Agent Ronaldo, ready for activation.

Can't see it. To pull off another 3:0 comeback would be absolutely incredible but I can't see Liverpool not scoring in Rome.

Roma cashed in all their chips against Barcelona. They've got nothing left in the bank.

Heynckes knows Klopp pretty good and Klopp didn't manage to beat him in his last 5 games when he managed Dortmund. Still, that Bayern was by far the best team in Europe and better than this one.

Don't have much confidence in Real as they seem too casual and vulnerable in the back. Bloody hell.

I hope beyond all hope that Roma can do it again, but yeah, I'm not sure I can see Roma managing a 3 goal winning margin, even if they score 4 or 5.

They did scrap through against Sevilla but prior to that tie Bayern looked the business.

I think Bayern are better equipped to handle Liverpool than Real due to their style of play - disciplined, efficient, machine-like, with enough intensity and freedom to make them dangerous in the final third.

If Liverpool are complacent, Roma get an early goal, the crowd whip up a frenzied atmosphere, then anything could happen. I'll be doing cartwheels if it does but nah, it ain't gonna happen.

Makes me want to vomit saying it, but all signs are pointing to Liverpool winning the cocking thing this season. Not sure I can handle it, 2005 was bad enough.

Agreed. And they know how to beat Klopp teams. I fancy Real to make the final though where it will be very open and Liverpool could have another field day :nervous:

Not just Jose. Even teams like Swansea and West Brom have shut down Liverpool. Like Carlos Carvalhal said Liverpool are like an F1 car. If you put an F1 car in London traffic it will not run very fast. What on earth have these teams been watching? You cannot give them that space and expect to get away it. They are the best counter attacking team in the world. Roma's manager should be sacked after tonight. 3 at the back and a high line against Mane, Salah and Firmino. It's like committing suicide.

Yeah I'm not really sure how I'll feel if they win it. I know it'll be some variation of awful, but fecking hell, Liverpool. I feel sick just thinking about it.

Were you lucky enough to not experience 2005's Istanbulshit? That was probably the most sickening footballing day of my life! I don't want a repeat.

Really? isn't it hard for you to support a foreign club over your own country especially since you aren't really blessed with world class players in your history.

On the other hand Ronaldo vs Lovren and Karius. ;)

If you cheered for Liverpool against city I hate you and this is all your fault. Can't stand these cnuts, the thoughts of them having twice as many European Cups as us is a sickening thought.

If Ronaldo beats Liverpool in the final I will close the Ronaldo v Messi thread and officially declare him the caf's GOAT. Any dissenters will be instabanned.

End of.

Can't see how anybody could argue with that course of action.

Oh no I did, but they'd not long won some silverware and at the time very much had the caveat of "finished 5th in the league, worst winners ever" so it wasn't quite as terrible as this will be. I think being 12 at the time helped as well.

 Where do I sign?

Foreign club? You are taking this issue to another matter. I supppet United which has a very famous fan bas accross the globe no matter someone like you declares it as foreign or hunter or what the feck ever. Supporting United comes first maybe you miss that. On the other hand I do proud of Salah as Egyptian and how he helps the national team but cheering for him when he plays for Liverpool? Seriously?

I somehow doubt United fans supporting Liverpool had any actual effect on the result.

City would have scored 15 v Roma .

Nope. City/Pep would have tried to play the ball through the condensed six man Roma midfield. Liverpool destroyed Roma´s tactics (which worked for 20 minutes) by starting to move the ball over the top. That´s beneath Pep. Plus Sterling, Sane and Jesus don´t even live on the same planet as Firmino when it comes to physical strength, holding up/winning long balls and then distributing them through the channels.
