If Ronaldo beats Liverpool in the final I will close the Ronaldo v Messi thread and officially declare him the caf's GOAT. Any dissenters will be instabanned.

End of.

Can't see how anybody could argue with that course of action.

Nightmare, don't believe Roma can turn it around, especially after that shambles of tactics tonight. Whoever comes in the final they will have a great chance.

Jose for all the slack he gets here looks to be the only one who knows how to contain them.

If only he knew how to contain Sevilla too.

Classic case of be careful what you wish for, I wanted them to beat City. I thought City would would win the CL if Liverpool didn't stop them. Now, Liverpool have 1 foot in the Final.:(

Hoping that Roma can bounce back. If not, I'll even cheer on Real Madrid or Bayern (both of whom I do not like!) Really don't want Liverpool to win, their smugness would be unbearable! :nervous:

I simply don't trust Bayern or Real's defence to hold up in a one off match.

But you'd trust Pool's shambolic defense to hold off the greatest CL goalscorer of all time?

Calm down people.

Ronaldo's got this in the bag.

The best ending for Liverpool is to lose at the final. That would be wonderful.

Imagine this:

"A cnut United Legend scored a CL final hat trick against the dippers."

can't be more majestic than that.

This thread has given Liverpool the power to win the cl this session. Klopp's sixth attempt to win a trophy and Liverpool's sixth cl. No one can stop it. Written in the books of hell.

Damn the ones who wanted Liverpool to win against city. Surely you are feeling like idiots now.

United contained Salah. And we are not brilliant yet. Bayern or Real have much more chances against Pool's defence rather than Salah against theirs. Calm down, sixth final, sixth loss. Will make it all the more sweeter.

feck off to the ones who wanted them to beat City, they have a firm foot in the final and it's anybody's guess who wins it after that.
I wanted them to do City, because Manchester is red. Secondly, had City knocked them out, they would have won the whole thing. For now, Pool are even more optimistic and are bound to have an ultimate meltdown.

Roma do have a chance still. 2 away goals. Could still score 3 in the return leg. Of course, Liverpool are favorites but the tie isn't completely dead.

We have a lot of fans on here who like to show off how impartial they are by talking about how 'likeable' they think Salah is and what a 'character' they think Klopp is.

It's baffling to me. If the worst happens and they actually win it you just know a congratulations thread would go up on here even before the full time whistle has happened. Madness.

Agreed, but I am sure Pool will score one anyways. It is not really over yet, however, the scousers are almost there. The ultimate meltdown will be in the final.

I think Salah is a decent human being and a good sport. I don't like Klopp's pretentious nature but one positive about him is that he sometimes admits when its' his fault, something many managers don't do.

That said, I want both their football careers to flop hard for as long as they are at Liverpool. It isn't mutually exclusive.

No they wouldn't have, they would have as much chances as anybody left in the competition. My point is that I cannot stomach it more City advancing than Liverpool. What made and still make them appear so fearsome in Europe is a huge mystery to me.

This absolutely sickens me. I'm going to put money on the scouse cnuts to win the whole thing, at least i get to win some money if they do

They've done really well so far but I can't see them beating Madrid or Bayern in the final to be honest.

Ideally all 3 goals from an offside position and Klopp smashing his own teeth ashe face plant chasing the linesman.

@Cal? If Ronaldo prevents those cnuts from winning it, I don't think there will be a debate anymore about who is better between him and Messi. I'd be firmly and blindly on team Ronaldo

ManUtd fans cheering and drooling over Liverpool player? What a time to be alive.

Ronaldo´s going to shut these feckers up and Klopp is going to lose another final. Then Salah will be bought by R. Madrid. End of story.

Quite a statement. I will stick to my guns though. City have better squad and much stronger bench to win the whole thing imo. Their goals can come from everywhere, while Pool are overly dependent on Salah. I would never want City win CL, particularly this season, as they are about to break several records in the prem. To sum it up, if City knocked Pool out of CL, then they would be favourites against Bayern or Real imo. However, with Pool, I am sure either Bayern or Real will be favourites, and rightfully do.

Let's just say I'd prefer City beating Liverpool and going on to win the UCL along with the league this season a hundred times over seeing Liverpool even just making it to the final.

If your neighbour wins the lottery are you happy for him or sick with jealousy and hope something bad befalls him?

I guess depending on how you answer, sums up the type of person you are.

Have the Caf learned nothing from Crystalbul?

They drew to fecking West Brom just a few days ago being 2 goals up ffs. Cheer up you paranoid cnuts.

Yeah ? And where are they know ?There is only so much a strong bench can help you with in a knockout tie. City's squad is tailor made for a league campaign but in the CL it gave them no advantages whatsoever. The problem with your view is that you take into account league form when judging teams in the CL and it's a flawed way of looking at things.
If City had knocked out Liverpool and drawn Real Madrid, why on Earth would they be favorites :wenger: ? Based on what exactly ?

Why not, liverpool are the ultimate GRC.
I can see Jurgen doing a Brendan, playing a naive, attacking football in a CL final (which will be their entire game plan). Bayern/Madrid will catch them off guard, They're experienced enough and their managers aren't as naive.

The only thing it tells you is that anything can happen in football, just like Liverpool beating Real Madrid or Bayern in the CL final. I feel sick thinking about it but in a one off game, anything is possible.

Not me anyway. I wouldn't want them to win a parish raffle.

And I thought we could win the final in ‘11.

Anything can happen, sure, but on the balance of probabilities Pool besting Madrid/Bayern is far from likely. Even in a romp like last night they let in 2 goals that made a dead and buried tie become slightly possible for Roma again. In a cup final, I’d put far more trust in the defensively superior team to come through, let alone the fact that both Madrid and Bayern have extremely skilful attackers themselves as well. Marcelo for example would have a field day against Pool’s defenders.

The fact is that they were second favourites at the start of the season. Another fact is that they have better squad. Now we agree to disagree and move on. You keep your grief regarding Pools progress while I keep enjoying the fact that City are out of it and so will be Pool.
