I just can't get my head around this logic.

A signing should be judged by how much he improves the team, not by how much he costs. Since when is the fee the key issue when it comes to working out whether or not he's a good signing?

Looking forward to playing against Liverpool with this bloater in their team. Am getting heartily sick of getting out-worked in midfield every time we come up against them. Watching Adam's lardy arse strolling back to help out his defence will be a refreshing change.

lose a few kilos and he could have a Gary McAllister impact on Liverpool - good passer of the ball

I just dont understand why they need another central midfield player

gerrard, meireles, lucas, spearing, aquilani, henderson, poulson, maxi and now adam

they are crying out for some good wide attacking players, a decent centre back and left back

Poulsen 4.5 million
Raul Meireles 12 million
Aquilani 17 million

how much will they get for the three of them??

He and Henderson will probably spend half the game passing between themselves while they're stood on opposite touchlines. Gerrard's short passing isn't the best either. Maybe the game plan is 'everyone kick it at the tall guy'.
 
F365 really like to torment the scousers.

It's rumbled on for a window and a half, but it finally looks like being over; Liverpool have agreed a deal with Blackpool for Charlie Adam, probably worth about £9million plus a couple of kids on loan. So that's another midfielder, and one that will fire as many passes into the Kop as he will onto Andy Carroll's head. Thoughts...?

Delighted with the news, as Lance said above no more heart attacks when i see this thread bumped again!

Liverpools team next season is going to absolutely reek average, are they on some sort of mission to stockpile the club with turd? could you imagine the reaction if Roy Hodgson had been the one advocating these signings as manager?

Adam/Henderson/Downing/Lucas/Carroll/Johnson/Carragher/Skrtel, fecking hell! theyd do well to get Europa football with that much wank at the club.
 
What I don't understand is this logic - in order to win the Premier League, you need a team that is close to being the best in the world...

There are british defenders that over the last 10 years have been close to or at the level required.

But why does Kenny Dalglish think he can be a world-class team by buying attacking british players ? Can Liverpool do well in the P.L with Henderson and Adam ? Yeah sure....but how can they possibly cope against Iniesta and Xavi ? Henderson couldn't even cope with the Spanish U-21 side ....

I have a die-hard Liverpool supporting mate and he is genuinely excited about Adam.

There must be a big signing coming their way. They can't keep buying "squad players"..... can they?
