Champions League Semi Finals (9th - 17th May)

It is a huge huge difference when 5 managers spend 1,5 billion or when one does it.
Also Pep has luxury to buy a player and if he diesn't work, he just bench him and buy another.
It’s a bit of a myth that he keeps replacing expensive players with new expensive players. Of his £20m+ signings which there have been 20 of, 14 are still at the club (with just 1 not having a significant role), 4 have been sold for significant profit, 1 is currently on loan and 1 is in jail. He has amazing transfer record at City and has wasted almost no money.

The tactical approach is designed for Modric and Kroos to play, which is why he insists on Camavinga on the left, who has delivered, but took a knock against Getafe and is in a Champions League semi-final out of position.
The normal thing would obviously have been to play Rudiger from the start. And I'm in favour of always keeping the centre-back pairing, not changing to reward a match, but he has taken advantage of that fact to fit them in when more physicality was needed.

Where are those guys who were twerking for Carvajal last week?

Grealish is literally toying with him. Embarassing.

I felt Bayern were more of a threat to City.

Bayern in top form and without injuries would definitely cause City problems. Unfortunately, Neuer is injured and firing Nagelsmann didn't help either.

It's all on United now. You are our best (only) hope to stop City's treble now.

You can't say he has wasted almost no money. They spent around £150m on terrible centre backs. Also i don't think pep is making the signings because they have a vaguely proper set up

Don't think I've ever seen Ancelotti so rattled as he was at half time. He was like a rabbit in the headlights.

Yet all those supposedly awful center backs are still there and playing significant minutes for a team about to win the treble while our £80m signing doesn’t even get a look in during injury crisis. He’s basically recycled Stones into a very solid option, has got Ake playing at a good level, Laporte and Dias have always been fine. Even Akanji is fine and he cost next to nothing.

I'd like City to score at least one more so I can go to bed without having to wake up to headlines of another legendary comeback.

The longevity of Kroos, Modric, and Benzema has helped mask that Real need a bit of a rebuild. All 3 look dusted out there.

This main commentator is very meh

I don't like mcmanamans accent and he's a Scouse ....
