Champions League Semi Finals (24th April - 2nd May)

Lewandowski had a shocking match tonight. He tensed up in the big moments and at this stage - when the margins are fine - that could be the difference.

Ronaldo, incidently, was unfathomably bad tonight. I'm not sure he contributed anything positive whatsoever.

Madrid should be heavy favourites to go through. Both semis done and dusted by the first leg, it seems.
 
Very poor quality in that game. It was like watching two Championship teams at times.

Bayern have kept failing, with better teams than this, at this stage of the competition in recent years. They are so prone to the counter, too slow with Martinez, Hummels, even Boateng these days, Liverpool could rush them out of the game.

Real found the tempo Spurs played with hard to handle, Liverpool are that on steroids, but I think they are more adaptable that Bayern and much better on the counter.

Ronaldo was like nowhere to be seen. Normally when he does that, he ends up scoring a penalty at last minute hogging all the headlines.
Looking at these performances, I think Salah will eat them alive.
 
Benzema should've decided that with either that chance or an easy through ball to Ascensio.

Thought Bayern were poor, too, in a game almost completely devoid of quality.
 
Bayern's chance conversion killed them. Real more clinical when the opponent offered them something. That's about it.
 
James and Ribery the only ones who can hold their heads high after that.
 
If Madrid with the quality they have in midfield cannot outplay Henderson, Wijnaldum and Milner then they don't deserve to win the competition.

Also, with players like Ronaldo, Isco, Bale and Benzema, they ought to be able to test the mighty Karius, Trent A A and Lovren who have all looked less than great over the course of the season.
 
Real had luck in any tie so far. Hope they stop Liverpool but they don't quite deserve to win 3 consecutive CL titles. Boring game overall.
 
Bayern have only won one CL in the last 15 years and that was against another German team in the final while beating the worst Barca side in recent years in their way. They bottled another 2 finals against Inter and a terrible Chelsea. Not to mention Their CL run this season has been far from being convincing similar to last year as well.

Don't know how anyone wanted them in final. Liverpool vs Bayern and I can bet all my money on Pool winning it. Madrid are better and know who to win. This competition is their own bitch. I'm more comfortable now.
 
No luck from Bayern today, outplayed Madrid but shot themselves in the foot with shot finishing and then the rafinha feck up. Tie not over, Bayern can easily win in Madrid with the same type of performance but a little more composure.

Bayern ain't any better. Side ways slows the game down, and gets caught against counters and they never learn from the past experiences.

Madrids Defence was poor tonight though, Bayern were even poorer at finishing, Liverpools attack will lick their lips at thats

Liverpool give every team they play chances. Even Roma last night, who put in the worst semi final performance I've ever seen, managed to score two.

Real Madrid are so clinical, I'd trust them to put Liverpool away.
 
Low quality game but a very clinical Madrid. It seems like Allianz Arena is their second home, almost guaranteed victory there.

On the other hand, just look at the list of Spanish teams that beat Munich at this exact same stage. Madrid, Barca, Atletico, Madrid and now possibly Madrid again.

Why are you basing your whole conclusion based on today game only ?
