Liverpool are 4th and that's only because Chelsea shit the bed a bit recently.
They also lost the League Cup final that year too... Let's hope there's something in this.

I hate Liverpool and City as much as the next true United supporter, but you do have to put your hands up and say they have been good enough to get to where they are at.
