Champions League Semi Finals (24th April - 2nd May)

Liverpool has no chance with Real or even if Bayern passed now that they lost Phelanvac.

wow that was major disappointment from a bunch of Bayern players. Lewandowski, Ribbery and Hummels and bunch more were awful. The lack of finishing when they had all those chances and then the biggest UCL goalie cockup in years gifts Real the final. And all the faking from Madrid? F'ck off!!

Bayern was comfortably the better team in both legs.

amazing game from Bayern but those are actually the hardest to stomach. you just can't miss those chances. Lewa was even worse than Ronaldo in both games imo.

I have always said i don't want Liverpool anywhere near another European Cup. However, Madrid are pushing them close.

I think i might be be able to live with a Salah hat-trick and Ronaldo tears.

Bayern don't deserve to go through because they weren't strong enough in the boxes. Both defensively and offensively. In between the two boxes they totally outplayed Real Madrid over 180 minutes but some shocking mistakes by the keeper and Rafinha made the difference. Real capitalized. Lewandowski was shocking over the two games as well. If Bayern had a clinical striker they could've scored 3/4 goals in both games. Their approach play up and till they reach the box is exceptionally good. After that they shit themselves for some reason.

Massive missed opportunity for Bayern that, the chances they missed over the two legs.

A team full of winners and experience, extreme mentality and tough players - exactly the team we want to play Liverpool in the final.

People talk about Liverpool’s offensive unit against Real’s open defensive unit, but everyone should look what’s happening at the other side of the pitch. Real always create chances, they always score - and they are never freightened if they go under. Varane perfectly suited to beat Salah/Mane for pace.

The final is also about what’s going on mentaly for 90 minutes, here Real Madrid are the best of all.

Bayern v Real has turned into the Federer v Nadal of European Football. Two teams at the peak of their sport slugging it out in neck to neck contests.

This match feels like the 09 Australian Open when Federer had lost I think 3-4 consecutive finals to Nadal and broke down crying, knowing he can't beat Nadal. This seems the same for Bayern, whether it is mentally or technically, they can't seem to get past Madrid, even when they have clearly played better.

Not quite sure how Bayern didn’t win that. Great game. Ref played his part and allowed the game to flow.

Just hope Real can beat Liverpool now.

Yep.

It’s a testament to the Madrid side. The way they’re able to win even when they’re not the better performing side is outrageously impressive. You can tell it’s due to the years of experience in such positions and it’s almost unfair. Other sides become anxious and panic, Madrid seem to always be in cruise control even when they’re getting bombarded.

Hard to put into words. I’ll just leave it at as ‘special’.

This would be the luckiest Champions League win since Chelsea. Outplayed in 5 of 6 knockout games. Great job Lewandowski. Bayern lived in Madrid´s penalty area for 180 minutes and he managed to do absolutely nothing.
4 of the last five wouldn't be luck.
Ramos tackle on lewa. When ramos missed the ball. It is clear, 100% penalty
Never a penalty!

Have to say I’d be a bit angry at James if I was a Bayern fan.

Seemed to care more about not annoying Real than concentrating on Bayern, bit of an insult to their fans I thought not celebrating his goal with the (heyyy look at me not celebrating non celebration) how you can’t celebrate a semi final champions league goal is wrong to me. Takes away emotion of scoring from your teammates too.

Also way he kicked the ball out in 82nd minute just because a Real player went down with cramp is ridiculous. No need whatsoever to kick the ball out there, no head injury. Again I think that’s disrespecting Bayern just to try and keep in Real’s good books.

went out with a bow. The pub team had the mighty Real on their breaking point. Ronaldo invisible again. 2 grave mistakes donated Madrd their title. Is it a good team? yes. Is it a great team? no. a great team would deem playacting and time wasting beyon their dignity.

Bayern's attacking trio of Lewa, Ribery and Muller were quite poor. Should have done more. Deserved to lose.

I am afraid Liverpool will skin this Real Madrid team.

Rodriguez kicking the ball out when their guy went down with cramp with about 8 mins to go was so typical Bayern in recent years. James allowed the crowd to control him, no reason to kick it out, take the advantage, make the ref stop it, don't be so accommodating. I am sure his teammates will be letting him know about it, especially after all the late time wasting.

Gerrard talking about Ulreich: "I've been there myself when you lose your foot in at a vital moment":lol:

Love how Lineker went to Gerrard on that particular question too. Top bantz!

Real Madrid really are the luckiest team in the world. I hope it continues in the final.

Madrid has a month to get their shit together and focus. I'm sure they will. Really need Isco and Casemeiro in that final.

I expect Madrid to win 3-1 and Ronaldo will score. Hopefully more than once.

Even Lovren will have a hard time to create as many chances for Madrid as Bayern did. :nervous:

Am i having a Dejavu moment or did u write the same thing last year?
Well last season the games were two end-to-end classics though, would be pretty strange if he did

Sandro Wagner not Bayern quality. Does nothing, barely touched the ball. All well good scoring hattys vs Frankfurt. This level WAY above him. Subbing was awful from Jupp, after James [who was fantastic] left the pitch, the game went flat.

.
I always thought it's weird that players on loan are allowed to play against their own club.
