Champions League Round of 16 (13th Feb - 14th Mar)

Leicester winning the league by 10 point in itself was tension because it was Leicester who did it.

Leicester winning the league only showed how shit the league was at the time. Not one half-decent football team in the league. That season is nothing to brag about.

ffs I cannot believe you've been knocked out. The one positive to going out to Juve was that we'd have less matches than our competitors but it looks like Man Utd and Chelsea are following us right out.

To be honest, neither can I, it still feels like a really bad nightmare brought on by a rather heavy meal yesterday.

I see the resident troll is getting a taste of his own medicine today. Ironically though, I understand your frustration too :)

Coming to footballing matters - people calling for Jose's head are way off the mark. I sometimes feel United and Liverpool fans are at two extremes of a spectrum at least in one sense - Liverpool fans tend to defend their players/managers/performances longer than required and United fans tend to turn on theirs too quickly.

I would agree that there is no excuse for performances like yesterday but the same team/tactics also shut down a supposedly rampant Liverpool less than a week ago. I am no Mourinho lover and pretty much hate his footballing brand, but saying that the guy has 'forgotten' how to win or 'the game has passed him' is just silly. Didn't he won 2 trophies last season and is still in the hunt for another one this year too?

I might like some banter but this is a United forum after all. If you come here posting as an oppo fan you should have the balls to appear when your team gets beaten, especially when all you do is WUM.

Amazes me that posters like Dumbstar are given a free ride for that on here.

I keep forgetting Bayern play at 18.00 already (UTC+2). Shit kick off time.

Besiktas fans whistle and shout with around 130dB. Whenever Ribery touches the ball, it's like a train sreeching to a stop.

The atmosphere in Turkey is the best I've ever seen. It's like a cauldron at their stadiums.

Oh feck off.

James will come on for Thiago, and being able to say this gives me some comfort

Aaaaawww, kitty kitty kitty!

(I'm not losing it, there was a beautiful red cat running onto the pitch ^^)

Libertadores has dogs invading the pitch from time to time but I don't think I've ever seen a cat get on the pitch

Rafinha should be off.

Our usual suspects let the atmosphere get to them, it seems. Ribery, Vidal, Rafinha all have looked like doing something really stupid.

This Besiktas team is so weird. Babel, Quaresma, Vagner Love, Medel, Talisca... it's bizarre watching them play together.

I love it when big names like these, players past their prime or player who didn't reach their potential, end up at these Turkish teams.

It reminds me of my Championship Manager days, signing all these washed up players on free transfers for my Derby County side.

Strong Barca line-up but a very weak bench, I’d prefer Demeble to come on as a sub in the 2nd half when Chelsea start leaving spaces.
