Champions League Quarter Finals (3rd - 11th April)

If Liverpool go for it, they will absolutely massacre city if Guardiola even remotely contemplates the 352

Feck I’m so nervous now. It’s even worse when I know it’s ours to lose.

If City score in the first 10 minutes I’m hiding behind the sofa.

Fernandinho LB? Pep going all out attack but that team lacks balance. Too attacking. Liverpool will definitely get chances. Man City should've left some options on the bench.

It'll be Fernandinho centre back and Laporte left back I think.

You’ll be fine. Liverpool have that thing in Europe they just know how to get to finals.

City haven’t got a clue. Emptyhad won’t be able to muster up much of an atmosphere either.

Playing Jesus over Aguero is a mistake. Van Dijk will pocket him, Aguero has way more threats to his game.

Surely they're playing Fernandinho as a CB in a 4-4-2? Anything else and they're going to be struggling when Liverpool break.

Anyhow there's very unlikely that City score 3+ without Liverpool scoring 1.

Dont get city's formation, walker as a RCB? Or ferdaninho as a lb with silva x2 and kdb midfield?
For someone with City Lover tag, you guys seem quite unfamiliar with Pep's tactic?

Fernandinho can drop in as a CB (he did in game at OT in the second half) and make it 3 at the back. Sane was seen playing as left wing back before.

I believe the Sevilla game was used as a motivational tool by the manager. Pogba was left out for Fellaini, and then brought on to change the game. Pogba has United in his heart, and I believe that he was one of the 'sad' players that the Manager and Lukaku talked about after the game.

It was a way to tell Pogba, 'you either perform, or the club you love will not win anything'. The manager knew that the team wasn't good enough yet to win the CL, so he took a risk on the game to try to motivate his star player.

The selection for the Sevilla game was mind-boggling, long balls to Fellaini is nothing new, but that was him as a third midfielder. Against Sevilla, we had one genuine midfielder on the pitch, that sort of arrogance is not something Mourinho does in a big game.
God forbid, if true. Kissing goodbye to the biggest club tournament to motivate a player? Losing a great deal of prestige to teach Pogs a lesson?

No idea. They have to go for it though, and that would the a very attacking lineup.

They will have no wings backs though.

Unless they are playing a 3-1-3-3 which I very much doubt.

3-4-3 with a midfield diamond would be my guess.

It is, however, attacking lineups don't always equate to goals. Seems to be no balance in those lineup of players, but I guess it all depends on the system Pep goes with.

Pep trying to surprise Klopp with the formation I believe. I am guessing Pool will still stick to their best strategy of relentless attacks.
I am 100% sure City players have been instructed to tactically foul Salah who picked up an injury last week.

We might get half an hour of a fanciful run for our money somewhere or other but I reckon this City- LFC tie is basically over.

Liverpool are gonna score at some point, :(.

Some line up from City. Comes down to how brave Liverpool are feeling. If they can see out the waves of attacks they're no doubt going to face and keep their heads, there's going to be a shedload of space on the counter, especially on the wings.

This is probably the only game where there's more chance of their being 5+ goals than none at all.

 It’s either going turn out to be a genius move from Pep or he gonna get embarrassed, nothing in between.

Think we'll play like a crazy 352 tonight for sure, more a 3142. Something like...

--------------------Ederson-------------------
-----------Fernand-Otamendi-Laporte----------
----------------------KDB---------------------
Walker------Bernadro--------Silva---------Sane
-----------------------------------------------
-------------Sterling-------Jesus---------------

KDB as a defensive MD?! No chance
