Champions League Quarter Finals (3rd - 11th April)

People who want us to keep spending huge money of players every summer, should really pay attention.
Look at the Liverpool lineup, look at that midfield... it shows how confidence and attitude really matter, and team cohesion.

Also helps that City are playing into their hands. I bet Klopp can't believe his luck with how open City are.

I don't think Liverpool have been great, except winning the ball in the middle 1/3 vs. very little competition.

First goal was offside, Ox goal was unstoppable.

3 is about right for how shit City have been, mind.

Dude, they are 3-0 up against City, have run like crazy and won all challenges, extreme tempo. They have been more than great, sadly. Still 45 minutes for City to get one or two. At 3-2, City are favorites in this tie.

Liverpool smashing them makes me realise how dreadful it would be if Liverpool won the champions league
They wouldn't. Other teams have proper defenders and midfielders. Not everyone is going to run around like headless chickens.

Pep is absolutely clueless here. Is there anyone with a brain that couldn't predict what Liverpool would do? I said on here a few days ago that Liverpool have scored the most counter attack goals in the Premier League. Infact they have almost twice the number of goals from counter attacks than the next team in the rankings.

The best thing for this game would have been to sit back and soak up pressure for the first leg, then hit them when they make the inevitable mistake. City already had the advantage of playing the second leg at home. Jesus. How do you feck this up? Why would go to Liverpool and play a high line?????

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern being the remaining teams leads me to that conclusion. If you think they've a very good chance, based on them doing a job on teams that play into their hands, well then you're being daft.
Yep, I'm the daft one (!) What makes you think the teams you mentioned won't do the same and play into Liverpool's hands? All three dominate their games on the front foot.

Time to see what this City team are made of, they haven't been in such a compromising position all season.

I really want to believe you, but every win is a step closer for them. As Mourinho said, once you’re in the quarters, you have a chance.

City start the second half the same as the first: hoof ball to Sane.

We need to spend on another manager

Yeah, let's sack the manager that's won two trophies in his first season, and is potentially 5 points ahead of this amazing team with a game in hand, not to mention made them completely ineffective not too long ago. Great idea.

Guys, there's a whole half of football game to go. If there's a team you can safely bet on imploding within a few minutes then it's liverpool.

I never said we should sack him, did I ?

Is Pep stubborn or does he not think City can defend /sit back?
Who goes to a side like Liverpool away in a 2 legged tie and leaves the team this open?

And Liverpool beat them in the league, so its not like City don't know about Liverpools attacking threat.

Baffling.
He did the same with Bayern in Barcelona a few years ago. We got battered as well.

United conceded one goal in two games against this Liverpool attack. An own goal.
Liverpool's strength is immense pressing. You can't do that when the opposition give the ball to you. Pep's stupidity cost them 3 goals. Played right into their hands.

Pep not making any changes means he's happy with the starting 11. So the players didn't perform like he planned them for?

Liverpool will net again and City will not score. Tie over.
