Champions League Knockouts (12 Aug - 23rd Aug)

Some quirky results in this year's ECL. Don't know if some of it is to do with the post-lockdown circumstances. City's defending always makes them vulnerable though.

The joys of going back to a 1 leg system. Gives the underdogs a massive chance.

"Fletch" says this is a "historic" result of Lyon... why? Because they beat City? They've been to the semi-finals before haven't they?

BT Sport cutting the camera off City players on the ground booing tut tut, loved to revel in it when it was Karius though the cnuts. Shocking commentary tonight.

Great performance from Lyon, keeper was faultless and ruthlessly exploited City mistakes.

Sterling miss was key moment. That will haunt him!

In the end german and french teams showed up in MUCH better shape than everyone else

Also, Guardiola

It's kinda infuriating that we didn't make him pay for his overthinking

Still. Barcelona lose 8-2 and Guardiola goes out to OL back to back nights

I need a cold shower and 20 cigarettes actually

Two French teams in the semi-final of the CL, not bad for a farmer's league. :D

Nothing more cringe than seeing a man cry over losing a game. I mean, WC yeah. Comes around every 4 years and you might only get 2-3 chances at it if you’re lucky but the CL comes every year. Get a grip.

McManaman: "We were expecting a routine victory tonight and that's not arrogance"

Rio Ferdinand already gently directing the attention away from Raheem Sterling and toward Gabriel Jesus. Must protect the Inglish at all costs!

Juve have been horrid this season. I dont think many people saw Juve and Lyon games at all.

This club is rightfully so in the Semi Finals and its not an accident.

Yeah Sarri is a fraud. Juve are better than the team who finished 7th in the French league though. Even if they beat them in a one off game Watford aren't better than Liverpool.

 better than I could have imagined.

Pep fecked up. All the whinging from the commentators. Lyon with a great performance. The var decision. Sterling missing the open goal. Ederson fumbling the ball. What a great night of football.

Foden + Bernado on the bench :annoyed:

To be fair, what should have been two legs, has become a knockout tournament.

But I dont give a feck!!! :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Lyon and Leipzeg please

Just to say these knockout in both euro competitions has been fantastic. Loved it all so far.

So 2 x German clubs and 2 x French clubs in the semis. I guess the Premiership is without doubt the best league in the world ( © Sky)
