Champions League — quarter-finals and semi-finals draw

Who do you have to pay to get this consistent advantage from the officials year after year after year? Why can't we fill a few pockets eh?

Can you imagine United at this level currently
I really cannot. The passing, technical skills, the pressing, heck even their passion on display is in a different galaxy to ours. And that bald feck has set us back further.

Maybe it's just me and the lack of general fitness I see in our lot but I think even the Russian scientists in Rocky IV would be slightly sheepish with this Real side.
The Spanish people have some world class erm... doctors.

Yeah of course. Obviously United have a comparable squad.

What a ridiculous post

If United had that squad, finishing top 4 would be celebrated as a great season. No striker, their first choice keeper being injured would all be used as excuses for us finishing 5th.

Culturally theres a huge difference between the two clubs.

Watching that counter again. Muller really fecked up there. Pass to wrong player and weak pass.

Was just about to say. Can you imagine United players walking round old Trafford the weekend before a title decider with 21 written across their shirts?
They've done the same thing right after at least the last 4 semis in which they progressed. Didn't hurt them at all. Why would they stop?

Another scandal. Already no red card for hitting Kimmich in the face but to not even check that goal (which wasn't offside) is the worst. Would have thought with VAR this isn't possible anymore.
feck off Madrid your cheats.
He didn’t hit kimmich ffs.
Looked off to me

But we're not privy to what Kimmich was saying to him, hard to base an opinion off of that.
Vinicius Jnr is a Cnut and insecure as a person. He overcompensate for his insecurities by being a Cnut and picking a fight when he can just avoid it.
That is my perception of him and I do this shit for a living. FYI I am not condoning or excusing some of the shit he has endured but he is a cnut

They can't check that goal on VAR because ref stopped the game before the shot. Refs fecked up in a way where VAR can't do shit.
It's amazing how they manage to find new ways to feck it up at the most crucial of times.

Can’t believe Tuchel subbed Kane, they then proceed to immediately concede from a horrible error and then Kim plays them onside for the winning goal.

Also poor from the linesman/ref for that potential last goal, not sure if De Ligt would of scored had he not whistled, but still.

This is such a familiar feeling, being screwed by the football gods. It slightly lessens the pain that it's happened to another team. But it's almost becoming my default state with football now, expecting the worst. Anyone else the same?

Sorry dear Bayern friends, you played a very good game. Annoying about the referee's whistle, something similar happened to Madrid this year.

That too, was bullshit. I had Madrid to win and Bellingham to score.

Yes culturally that's true but you have to admit that the level of skill Real have is miles above our squad.

:wenger:
That was just a joke acknowledging how ridiculously successful Real are. They are so successful that they're on a different planet altogether and we might as well just focus on comparing the rest of the clubs between themselves.

And football didn't start with PL.
Ok, just making sure.

Madrid culturally are a different gravy.

They lost their best player last summer, didn't even bother trying to replace him. Went and brought a midfielder and just told Ancelotti to get on with it, and now they're in another CL final.

United fans would spend the season moaning about how badly the club let down the manager and how expectations should be lowered because of X reasons.
In Madrid you lose two games in a row, you get boos. You don't score two games, you get boos. Benzema, Ronaldo, Bale....all got that treatment. You have bad season, you are sold.
Ruthless club.

Kind of freaky how it looked like history repeating itself. the history of the bayern...

I would love to see a post-game official VAR check/statement to get a definitive answer whether or not that was offside. It won't happen though.

That’s the thing… I saw a lot of posts slagging off on Tuchel just a short bit ago and all I could think was how I wish we were 1) in a UCL semifinal and 2) playing like this Bayern team even if they were losing
